This is my first Sopmod stock but definitely not my last. Love the cheek weld you get on this stock and the QD points on both sides for your sling. Aesthetically it looks great as well. This stock also has a long history with Mil and LE as well so you know the stock is solid and will hold up to hard use.

My only other experience with a red dot is the Holosun HS403c which is a Aimpoint T1 clone. It has served me well but I wanted something else for a 16" AR build that was a non-magnified optic. I was drawn to the MRO because of the size of the window. The clarity of the glass is good quality and the red dot is crisp (when I wear corrective glasses since I have astigmatism). Adjustment for elevation and windage is super easy. I have mine on an American Defense lower 1/3rd QD mount co-witnessed with Daniel Defense fixed sights. What a combination the window is so big that the fixed rear is not distracting when shooting normally with the dot. The price was just right for a quality Trijicon optic I am very satisfied with my purchase. My only con is it doesn't come with a lens cap.

I was running a standard carbine buffer in my Aero Precision 16" build with surefire 3 prong flash hider. It was shooting fine but I felt the gun recoiling more than necessary. My follow up shots were slower because of it. I could go for a muzzle brake/compensator and it will help but I didn't want the added concussion. So I went with a Spikes Tactical ST-T2 buffer paired with a Springco blue spring. Wow! I was surprised in the difference. There is less muzzle jump making follow up shots easier. It also makes the action smoother as well. So far I ran 1000 rounds of commercial ammo and it cycles fine and holds bolt on last round. Tula, Remington, Winchester, Federal, Frontier in 55,62 and 75 grain. Well worth the price!

This mount is super sturdy with the MRO. You can adjust the tension for the qd mount to make it as tight or loose as you want without tools. It comes packaged with 4 screws and red loctite to mount the MRO. So far I am very happy with this mount is built tough and easy to swap to other rifles with the qd lever. Might be pricey but if you want a solid optic mount its worth it.

I got these to pair up to my Trijicon MRO to lower 1.3" cowitness. I have it on a 16" barrel AR-15 with 15" handguard with the American Defense lower 1/3 QD mount. It matches up perfectly to the MRO and the rear sight even though is fixed is barely visible when using the dot. However when you need to use the sights and you lower your cheek weld to see through them the view is clear and easy to use because the A2 style front sight is not too big so it doesn't take up too much space in the optic. The sights are easily adjustable with a bullet tip/punch for windage(rear)and elevation(front). When using the dot I use the front sight as a reference point for shooting close targets since the dot is usually above it makes my first shot faster.

I previously had the Aero Precision flip up sights for this but they don't work too well with a lower 1/3 cowitness with the HK style front sight because they take up too much space in the optic. They probably will work well with an absolute cowitness but that's not my preference.

Aero Precision knocked it out of the park with this combo. Its so easy to mount your barrel to the enhanced M4E1 upper with no gas tube timing necessary. Another plus is it comes with the barrel nut wrench which mounts to your torque wrench with 1/2" drive at no additional cost (Geissele, cough). It has the Mlok slots at 3,6 and 9 o'clock positions. Once I completed my rifle it came out looking great when paired up with the M4E1 lower receiver from Aero Precision. So far I got about 400 rounds through my 15" handguard combo and its exceeded my expectations.

Was in the market for a flash hider for my 16" AR-15. The surefire comes with a crush washer and flash hider. Tighten to 30 ft/lbs and you're done. So far put 350 rounds through it indoors and I didn't notice any flash. The price is just right for what it does. Note that this model does not mount surefire QD suppressors.
