Glock 19 & 23 to 380 acp

Written on Feb 21, 2025

The 25 frame is the same as the 19-9mm and 23-40sw. I bought a complete upper that came with 2-G19 10 round mags, also supplied with 2 15 round mags in 380 acp for FREE STATES. G25 slide works on the 19 & 23 frame just fine. Accuracy was still spot on with the Ameri-Laser I had on the G19 frame. Could be good for someone not wanting 9mm as a CCW load, even though cheaper. Or if you have a G-23 it could be converted to 4 different calibers with a 22Lr conversion kit, a 9mm conversion barrel, and this G25 complete upper. It's all Glock and runs like a Glock, very well!

UM, RIFLE TUBE

Had an old A-2 rifle stock I wanted to use on a 22Lr conversion. Needed this to put it all together.

EASE OF OPERATION

Written on Jan 21, 2025

Makes the Glock floorplate removal very easy, even the ones with a locking tab.

Better than standard.

Better than standard, easily mounted accessories, color match Upper to Lower!

I Actually put it on a GLOCK.

1st of all, OPTICS PLANET said 'Availability was IN STOCK'. NOPE, I ordered on 9/27/20 and picked up from Post Office on 10/26/2020, or delivery would have been 10/27/20.

2nd, The product itself. I really didn't have high expectations as past experience with AR conversions have inherent problems. One of our CCW instructors uses some type of Glock 22 conversion on his training pistol, always seems to have a feeding issue.
The only initial issue I had was it didn't seem to want to slide onto pistol frame. The front end of Recoil spring/rod has a U-shaped piece that sits in end of Slide. I just needed to push it down a little to allow the Slide to finish seating onto Frame.
I took 5 different types of ammo to range to see which works best or not at all. CCI Blazer, Federal Hollow Point, Remington Golden Bullet, Copper Top and Hollow Point, and Winchester M-22. I only loaded 5 rounds of each into a magazine. The 1st round of Winchester was a FT-eject, I racked Slide, Extractor caught shell and spit it out, next 4 rounds were smooth. All other ammo's ran perfect with initial 5 rounds per mag.
I have a huge jug of Federal Copper Hollow Point in my Range Car. I loaded 3 Magazines to full 10 round capacity and commenced a Break-in. All in all I shot 120 rounds of the Federal and 30 rounds of others, 1 Stovepipe, 1 Double feed, and previous FT-eject. Keeping in mind this is a Brand New product still needing to be broken in. A 1 1/2% malfunction rate is completely acceptable to me.

Use in Kalifornistan

Have been using these for several years now, I prefer stainless over non-stainless (political correctness) model. Easier to see dirt and clean. If your AR is bound by state regulation of 'EVIL FEATURES' and you install this on your 5.56/.223 barreled rifle you are still mandated to have rifle KOMPLIANT. If you build the rifle with a DEDICATED 22Lr BARREL you can have all the Evil Features you can fit on that thing. The 22 barrel does give better accuracy out to 100 yards than the 5.56/.223 barrel will.
However, if you just want to shoot 22Lr occasionally or practice tactics and maneuvers without breaking the bank these conversions are an excellent option.
I recommend using the CMMG 22Lr Charging Handle, it prevents most of the Fail to Eject issues.
With younger shooters who may be a little apprehensive about firing a full on AR, I'll have them shoot and get familiar with the 22Lr converted rifle for 50-100 rounds. After they become confident and less stressed, I'll convert it back to 5.56 and allow them to take a couple shots. They are much more comfortable behind the rifle and less afraid of the perceived kick, (no kick). They usually want to burn a whole box of ammo by this time. More noise and no pain is appealing to the younger set.

I like it, as long as Law Enforcement actually know the 'FIXED STOCK' definition of the law.

JE Machine came up with a way to make a multi-position stock become fixed.
When I first received it I was wondering how it was going to mount. It appeared to be a multi-position Stock, except the adjustment lever did not move. I removed the lever in order to make the Locking Pin move in order to put on Buffer Tube. After installing and replacing LEVER I noticed my stock now had the ability to be adjusted to multiple positions. 'What the 'F' did I do the break my new stock'?
J E Machine makes the Lever in such a way if mounted Upside down it won't move, therefore making it a FIXED STOCK. Because, to move the stock you have to disassemble parts of the Stock.
Now, why pay more money for this one when you can buy the standard one and simply flip the lever?
The Stock itself has a nice look and feel to it. I would buy again if needed.

NO! Magpul Stocks won't work the same way!

Multi-fit Training magazine

I have an M&P 40 and also a S&W SD40VE, I use the SD40 as my Range Carry pistol, and also demonstration pistol for CCW Students. I discovered that the M&P mags will work in the SD40 but not vice versa. I bought 3 of these to try out. They work and function fine in the SD40 although the Floor Plate is a little askew, it doesn't affect function or grip of pistol. I quite often use a 9mm barrel in the pistol also. These mags will feed 9mm pretty well, with an occasional Fail to feed, due to feed lip gap adjusted to 40S&W, this allows me the opportunity to practice IMMEDIATE ACTION DRILLS. Factory 40 mags feed 9mm much more efficiently. I have 9mm mags fitted to the 40 frame I keep loaded with Defense rounds. I use FMJ ammo when demonstrating different tactics, I run the course of fire for students to observe live fire and what to expect. If I have a magazine failure, so much better for training (when loaded with 9mm). When loaded with 40 I have no negative issues as of yet. If you spend as much time at the range as I do you will appreciate having extra mags on hand. I assist 4 different CCW trainers, having extra equipment is definitely a plus!

KALIFORNISTAN KOMPLIANCE

Written on May 25, 2020

Over the past several years I have helped co-workers and friends build their rifles. With just a 'BULLET BUTTON' we had the ability to use all the other 'EVIL FEATURES'.
But since science has proven that Flash Suppressors, Pistol Grips, Adjustable Stocks, and Forward Pistol Grips can actually make a rifle get up under it's own power and commit murder. Those of us still stuck BEHIND ENEMY LINES must adapt and overcome with what we have left in our 'tool boxes'. I have used this particular Muzzle Brake because I want the Authentic A-2 look on my rifles. They work fine and don't affect performance, yes, the are louder. If your wanting to keep your A1 or A2 as close as possible to original look, this will do the job just fine at a decent price.

Others I have helped build, have used these with a 'non-pistol' grip, and a fixed stock to be able to comply.
NOTE* As best as I can research keeping a BULLET BUTTON on an otherwise FEATURELESS rifle is an outlawed part. I can't get a solid answer from local agencies otherwise. We have removed the BULLET BUTTONS from ours and used standard MAG RELEASE. Now our legal rifles are no longer deadly. RIGHT GOVERNOR 'HAIR GEL?'.

BOTTOM LINE-These work Just Fine.
