Great accuracy

Written on Nov 07, 2022

Bought the 14.5" and mated it to a Geissele Super-Duty lower. Fit is great, no slop or gap. Shot about 3/4" MOA CTC with 75 gr HPBT. Gassing feels correct, cycled a standard full-auto bolt with a H buffer perfectly. Hand guard is as slim as it gets but still plenty ergonomic, and super light. Would definitely buy again.

Great brake and flash hider

Written on Oct 06, 2021

Mounted this on a 18" Mk12 profile barrel. Reduces recoil well, and actually is a flash hider as well. Concussion isn't really there at all. A brake that won't blow your hair off or shoot fireballs. This is my go-to for every AR in the future. I used the stainless shim kit to seat and time it, everything works great.

High-quality mount!

Written on May 25, 2021

I was a little nervous about ordering a mount like this that I've never tried before. But I am glad I did. I cannot say enough about the quality of the machining, finish, attention to detail, even the better-than-usual nitrided machine screws with the larger hex. The base mounted up true and dead-straight in every conceivable way with the rail on my upper and the scope (many cheaper mounts or rings will not do this). One tip: When loose, both sides of the ring sets are free-floating in terms of bore alignment, so when you get your scope in them, tighten all the bottom ring bolts first (22-ish inch pounds) and then the top bolts (15-19 inch pounds). This seems to work best for allowing the rings to align with the base, while minimizing movement of the scope after leveling everything. I'll definitely be buying more of these.

Good optic!

Written on May 20, 2021

I was a bit hesitant when I bought this because it's hard to judge a scope until I get it in my own hands and look through it with my own eyes. But I am glad I did. The reticle is smaller than it looks in the photo, but just slightly larger than compared to Swampfox or Vortex. The thing that blew me away the most was the brightness of the glass. I wasn't expecting it to be as bright and clear as it is at this price range. I prefer it over the Vortex SE. 1X, like most others is not a true 1X, more like a 1.1-1.2, but honestly it is perfectly usable. The illumination is not nuclear, but it is visible in daylight. Honestly I don't care for bright illumination in broad daylight because the reticle is very visible with excellent contrast without it. In low light, the lowest settings are fine. The built-in throw lever and additional long throw lever work great, function smoothe and are surprisingly quiet when folding up or down. The mag ring rotates at what I would call a "perfect" amount in terms of smoothness and quiet, not too loose and not too stiff. The turrets are very tactile and seem to be accurate with no unwanted drift. The eyepiece has no wiggle in it, and has a rubberized ring in the front. I measured the objective and eyepiece ends of the scope for different covers, and the tube OD is exactly 30mm, and the eyepiece is 42.2mm at its widest. Overall, this is definitely worth the money in the sub-300 category, I'd buy it again.
