good but big

Written on Dec 18, 2025

Works very well, just larger than I was expecting. As gar as function goes, I like it more than my surefire m640 and it comes with a good tape switch.

Basically unusable

Written on Dec 18, 2025

Button is so stiff its nearly impossible to operate. Waste of time and money. I just opted for the momentary tape switch it works fine.

not for me

This thing is huge and heavy. Takes up as much space and weighs as much as the light itself. $200 paperweight. Doesn't even properly attach. Just slips over the rail

useless reticle

Written on Sep 28, 2025

I should've got the single dot model. I liked the idea of a bdc red dot but the bdc and horseshoe reticles flood the tube with red light rendering the optice completely useless. The chevron is so small ot might as well just be a dot. And the bdc dots are so close together that they just form a line. For now I'm just using the chevron only reticle as a dot until I can replace it with a romeo red dot.

not bad for the price

Written on May 16, 2025

Heard a lot of negative reviews on this peoduct but it was inexpensive enough that I thought I'd give it a shot. Mine functions perfectly and I haven't had one issue other than the ammo I want to use wont fit. On an ar10 platform you could run whatever you want, but this thing is a blast and a true multi-tool. Birds to squirrels and deer with slugs. Great for home defense as well. And my 70 yr old mother loves it.

it's just okay

For a $200 gas block the fit and finish isn't there for me. Functions as well as a $60 adjustable gas block. I found it more gimmick than an actual upgrade for a weapon you'd trust your life to. The "piston" that was installed at the factory froze up after the first day of real use. I had it on a suppressed 14.5" 5.56 and put about 200 rounds through it that day. After the first few mags I noticed it gassing a bit more so I tried to turn it down another click and couldn't get it to move. Took it apart that night ( pain in the butt on a gun with a rockset muzzle brake, thankfully I hadn't pinned and welded it yet.) and the piston was completely stuck. Took a blowtorch and wd40 to get it out.

it's a metal straw

Written on Mar 11, 2025

It's a metal straw. It works as one might believe a metal straw should work.

hope i just got a bad one

Written on Mar 04, 2025

Got this hoping for a primo addition to a very expensive build. Looks cool and has alot of gas mitigating features. When i tried to install it it wouldn't go inside the receiver. Upon closer inspection I found the guide lugs on the side of the stem were to tall. I tried it in a couple other receivers with the same results. I literally threw it in the trash then dug it out a couple hours layer to try to file the top of the lugs down and wasnable to make it work. After finishing the machining work for breek, it now fits and works as advertised.

nicest ambi mag catch I've tried

Written on Feb 21, 2025

As far as a drop in ambi catch goes, this is the best one I've used. Way pricey but it rifle I put it on wasn't cheap and deserved the top end jewelry.

super nice

Written on Feb 15, 2025

This handguard is one of the nicest i own. I have geissele, jp enterprises, precision reflex... The quality and attachment method is super tight without the wedgelocks. The machining throughout is some of the finest I've seen. Only cons in my opinion are that it's a bit pricey but comparable to geissele, and geissele doesn't have .308 handguards, and the melonite finish look a little dull next to the receivers.
