A Reptilia CQG came with my SB 10/22 chassis. I fabricated an AR grip adapter for MLOK and have this as my VFG. Its a cool looking and very comfortable setup, and Im not normally a VFG fan. Grip feels very durable, I would definitely recommend.
On my 870 the little screw installed fine. The big screw only reaches through the receiver about two threads, so screwing it in ripped out the first thread of the soft aluminum plate and that was that. The design means the screws must be perfect- too long and they wont let the plastic shell carrier slide on and off, too short and you get what happened to me (maybe 870 receivers have different tolerances).
Bought this for a KS12 shotgun. Liked the added rail, the made of aluminum. The screws it shipped with were garbage, they rounded out from tightening the grip enough to keep it from wiggling. Two screws and nuts came with it despite three holes. Only the middle hole has the MLOK standoffs that help prevent side to side play, so the grip always feels a little loose. The QD attachment bulge at the base is exactly the wrong place for your pinky making it very uncomfortable.
Had about a 15% failure rate on these with rounds that wouldnt fire in two different 357s, the primers seemed either way too hard or defective. One primer was struck four times and never went off, but most rounds would go off on a second or third strike.
I like this stock for its simplicity and it seems durable. I don't like the misleading info. On a postal scale everything in the package (stock, buttpad, etc) weighs in at 15.5 ounces. A little off is fine, thats 70% higher.
These grips are solid, once shimmed per instructions they don't move. They are pretty chunky, there is a lot of material, not good for CC without some work. Being G10 and reasonably cheap, I took a grinder to mine- now they are dimensionally similar to Badger boot grips and easier to conceal. The downside- prior to any modifications there is a slight gap under the trigger guard and between the two halves at the top of the back strap. Also the screw sucks. Why are we still using a flathead? It's not like G10 is traditional anyway.
