Bought this for a .450 bushmaster project was workin on and works great. Decided on using standard ar10 buffer and spring in an a1tube,as with the muzzlebrake I used the recoil impulse was right around .308 level so used this spacer behind the spring to prevent overtravel from the different cartridge lengths

Got it primarily since I'm a sucker for o.d. green rubber gun bling. Would say works better as a grip with flared magwells. On my more milspec wilson combat lower isn't the best grip surface as leaves my pinky floating. Gonna get a rubber o ring at the hardware store to fill in the small gap. If you use a carry handle rear sight on a picatinny rail and try to go thumb over is a bit awkward with this product since the rubber on mine at least was harder than expected,and tends to push a pressure point behind my digits. Running it on a regular flat top is fine though. Found a home for it on my .450 bushmaster which is scoped and I like to go thumbover with. Definitely a good product if you have a lot of weight towards the front of your rifle where a lower straight magwell grip is a better idea. At least with my weirdo spidery fingers �
