The sling design is supposed to work kind of like a backpack, but it feels awkward when worn over the shoulder. This bag fits a carbine or folding rifle and is fine to carry a short distance, but would not be comfortable over the shoulder on a long trek. The sling is sewn in and kind of a big feature. The bag does look good and doesn't draw attention.
