NOT FOR GLOCK 42 (Use GSR-01 for G42)

Written on Oct 02, 2025

These are awesome on Glocks, but the GSR-02 is not for a Glock 42. They make a GSR-01 just for the thinner Glock 42. One reviewer here said this GSR-02 fit his Glock 42, but it was very wide....so it will apparently fit, but it's too big for the narrower G42.This being said, these are the best slide rackers. They're sturdy (metal inside), they fit great and only protrude slightly. They keep your hand from slipping off the slide, and you can even rack with two fingers. Perfect for racking Glock's strong dual recoil springs.

SPACE PENS ARE THE BEST!

Written on Jan 03, 2025

I've been using Space Pens for 20+ years and they are very well made, write well, and their size makes them super convenient. Whether you clip them in a pocket, on the collar of a T-Shirt in the summer, or keep one in your pants pocket, you always have a pen.
After getting tired of losing mine, l started keeping it in a pants pocket with much better success.
They claim the ability to write upside down and on most surfaces. In my experience this is mostly true, but there are some surfaces, like certain plastics, where they skip or don't write. But overall they write on more surfaces than normal pens.
When the two halves are pulled apart and assembled into a full sized pen, it feels good in your hand and i really like the way they write. And they are MADE IN USA!!
The only con is the price of the refills. Fisher refills are in the $6-$8 range. I generally get them at Staples vs online (Amazon) to avoid Chinese counterfeits. OP sells refills for $7.99, I'm sure those are legit...just wait for a global sale :)

Really Cool Hats With One Big Negative

Written on Oct 10, 2024

This is a nice looking (Highlander color), well made, comfortable, year round hat. It's made with a thin, slightly stretchy, polyester-like microfiber, so it can be worn in the summer and winter. And it looks cool.
>>> Now the negative: This hat is sold by a company that waves the US flag and touts their military connection in their marketing, 'Created from battlefield necessity', but they make US flag hats in Communist China! Using a communist, non-ally country that spies on us, to make hats with the US flag is the epitome of hypocrisy.
KRYPTEK - Please walk-your-talk.  If you can't achieve good profit margins through US manufacturing, there are 20 other MNNA (Major Non-NATO Ally) countries to use.
I bought several of these to give to friends and family (it's my son's favorite hat) before finding China on the label while doing this review.
I'd give this hat 5 stars if not for it's country of origin.

Nice, Solid (USA!) Pic Rail - 5 & 7 Slot Photos Reversed

Written on Aug 13, 2024

Nice poly rails, well made in USA!
After ordering several 7 slot rails to mount folding handguard pistol grips, I realized a 5 slot photo is shown for the 7 slot listing, and vice-versa. Fortunately OP sent 7 slot rails, which is what the description and part # reflected.
These are not hard plastic as I expected, they have a bit of flex in them, sort of like hard rubber. This is probably a positive, as they should absorb impact better without breaking. And aftet the two M-Lock fittings are tightened, they feel nice and solid.
Overall, a well made, solid little rail for a great price.

Great, Low-Print Way to Carry a Reload

Written on May 09, 2024

These are a great, low-profile way to carry extra rounds in a pocket. They are virtually invisible in a pocket and a better solution to bulky round speedloaders. The rounds slide firmly into place and easily snap out when reloading. You can shake a liaded strip and the rounds stay in place.

Accurate and Consistent USA Quality

Written on May 08, 2024

I have been buying Remington UMC handgun ammo in various flavors for years without a single failure. It is made in usa, accurate, and very consistent.
When it comes to handgun ammo, especially for EDC, I only buy US made ammo from reputable manufacturers.

Well Made - Looks & Feels Great

Written on May 03, 2024

This is a really nice grip and it fits a Security Six with serial # starting 161. I had to shave off a tiny strip against the exposed frame with a razor blade, but this is sometimes necessary to adjust for minor frame variations. If your gun has a roll pin, it can be easily removed with a punch or nail set.
This a nice grip for stainless guns, as it doesn't cover the back frame and the black/stainless contrast looks nice. For a blue gun I'd use a grip that covers the entire grip frame (no exposed metal), like Pachmeyer (PK3175). On blue guns the exposed grip frame can rust from perspiration and skin oil if you don't clean/oil it after every use. The rubber and finger grooves feel good and provide a solid grip.

Consistent USA Quality

I've bought many boxes of quality, US-Made Winchester White-Box ammo without a single bad round. Its accurate, consistent, and competitively priced.

Awesome, Heavy-Duty Work Tool  - USA Made!

Written on May 09, 2023

This is a very well made (USA!), solid, tool for regular work use or EDC  (every-day-carry). I originally bought a Wave +, which is a great tool, but not quite heavy enough for the type of work I do.  So I returned it for this Surge, which is bigger/thicker overall and has heavier scissors and pliers.
The surge has a replaceable blade holder that comes with a saw installed, but this can be easily replaced with a file included in the box. The wire cutter blades can also be replaced. It's great how Leatherman is making the main wearable tools replaceable to extent the life of the tool by many years.

The included premium nylon sheath has a belt loop and two accessory holders. I use one for the optional screw bit extender that snaps into the knife and holds regular size driver bits.
Note: The pliers shown in OP's photo are outdated - the #830158 now has the larger reinforced pliers. This can be seen on Leatherman's web page under Surge or by searching 830158.

Great job Leatherman and thanks to OP for carrying their line.

Good For EDC, Better Options For Work Use

Written on Apr 30, 2023

This is a great tool for normal use, but there are bigger, stronger Leatherman options for work use. All the tools are solid and well made (USA!), except the scissors. The sissors were disappointing; the rivet was too loose and the metal was thin.
I bought this for work, so I'm returning it for a Leatherman Surge or Super Tool 300, which are larger and heavier with stronger pliers. Also, the Surge has much heavier scissors.
