This optic exceeds / defies expectations: First, the combination of large exit pupil and longish eye relief produce a generous eye box that makes this as fast as my 1.5x optic and simple to use for beginners. Secondly, the glass is so good that I find myself seeing mid-distance objects better than on a budget 3x prism. This combination produces a useful optic that excels under 200 yards, perfect for the velocity out my 11.5” barrel. Lastly, the ACSS reticle is large and clear and I am confident it would give me a chance to bang steel at 400 yards in a pinch. The ARD is good quality. I have it mounted on a Unity micro prism mount, very comfortable for taller shooters.
