Most Helpful Positive Review Truly ambidextrous end plate
This is the only endplate that to me is truly ambidextrous. Sling slides left or right quickly. No pressing of buttons, no switching holes, and it came free with my Cadwell sling x 2, also great by the way. I am a casual user, home defense, the range, and so forth. Perfect price. Most Helpful Negative Review You get what you paid for...
This is a single piece of stamped metal. It works, and has a nice black finish. However, when compared to the robust MAGPUL version, it is shamefully weak looking. This Caldwell version just looks and feels cheap... but it is cheap in cost.

Do not recommend

The charging handle will not function with this endplate installed. It will require slight fitting by filing or grinding the top, and then you'll need to refinish. If you want something that will drop in, these aren't for you.

clearance issue.

I bought 4 of these a while back for some builds I was doing. Once assembled the charging handle wouldn't clear the end plate. Some simple modification would resolve this, but that is not something I should have to do especially for a new clean build. Needless to say they got trashed because they were in sale and not worth my time to return.

Not for everyone.

Installed on a S&W and could not get the charging handle to slide past the end plate. Had to file down the top of end plate and make a flat spot. Most end plates have the flat spot already milled into the part. Caldwell, Not so much. But it’s cheap. Guess you get what you pay for.

5 stars! Cheap, simple, works.

I've used these on quite a few builds. Its nice how they wrap around and are truly ambidextrous. They can accept many types of fasteners which I prefer the mash hook single point slings made by kley zion. Also there are no sharp edges and it doesnt make contact with your hand. For some reason the optics planet app will only let me give 1 star.
