Looks like a toy
I was looking for a distinctive walking stick. This is an overly fat and heavy stick. The round ball cap on top does not seamlessly join with the rest of the stick, but instead is glued on like a cap. Blackthorne walking stick
I love this stick it is a solid and well-made product. Also, it is a nice hefty weight and is very durable. five stars

Just what I was looking for
This stick is really nice, well made, and sturdy. Some say it's too large and heavy, but it works great for me. I added a small rubber foot to the bottom, but other than that, this stick is well worth the price. it helps me travel, due to some slight mobility issues, plus I can safely say it would come in handy as a defensive stick, if needed... I highly recommend it!!!

Excellent self defense walking stick.
Strong and well made. Don't let people fool you saying you need a lightweight stick to spin around like a cheerleader. Grab this blackthorn with both hands and swing it like a bat. Any threat will be stopped.

Irish Blackthorn, 37
The walking stick has heft, is solidly built, and I cannot see this product coming apart. Built in a very heavy-duty manner. I'm 6ft. 2" and the 37" height is perfect as a cane or walking stick (not a staff).
I would recommend this if you need walking support that can double as a protective or defensive EDC item, in the event you come across a threat during your travels.
As always, Cold Steel builds a great product out of Taiwan.

Fake blackthorn walking stick
This thing is junk. It’s some kind of plastic and it looks just as fake as it feels. Also the weight distribution is way off and it’s way too heavy for a walking stick. It’s fine to lean in a corner of the room for aesthetics but if you actually need a cane or walking stick, this ain’t it. I regret buying this.

Ergonomic, and perfect in every possible capacity. The grip, grooves, and weighted end flow like water and now a prized possession.

Nor a Walking Stick; it's a club
Good on Ya if you can get this oversized club through a security point be proclaiming it to be a walking stick. The shaft is far too thick. If it weren't so heavy, one could use it as a wrecking bar. If you use it as a cane, you'll soon have an overdeveloped bearing arm. Optics Planet was great and easy to deal with in returning it and with canceling the longer stckķķ

My balance stick,
I use the cold steel shillelagh, walking stick when my joints feel better, I use it to help when the need arises for balance, it helps in times when things are going better but is there when you need it, that's why I have two sticks, the red dragon and the shillelagh, one for the worst days and one for some better days, and there both EFFECTIVE for defense.
