I have several of these knives and give them as presents. They are sharp, and stay sharp for a long time. I tell people, when I give them one, "Watch out, This will become your favorite kitchen knife"!!!! I sharpen mine to 17 degrees with a Lansky knife sharpening set. They cannot be beat for the price....
