Most Helpful Positive Review The notched fit at the bottom fits weird against some lowers
The notched fit at the bottom fits weird against some lowers. Other than that the fit and finish on all aero precisions handguards I’ve owned has been very nice. The locking mechanism is very easy to install and has no way of backing out on you.
Most Helpful Negative Review Middle of the pack
I like the size and weight. However was not impressed with the mounting system. Could use an anti-rotation feature with a slightly different barrel nut. With that being said 15in free floating rail for the price this is a solid middle of the pack choice

FM Gen 2 AR15 handgard w barrel nut

Shipping has improved with Optics Planet and as always, products are as described. I think this hand hard is going to be a perfect match to my other Ar I always like the full rail on the top and the Mloks are easy to use. With also for more possibilities of mounting accessories. .

worst design ever

Too tight to fit at correct orientation when nut is not at the perfect position. I don’t want to over tighten past torque specs to get correct alignment. I had to do quite a bit of hand fitting with the grinder. Worst build I have ever done.
Also had to grind down set screws on adjustable gas block because internal dimensions were too tight for it to fit.

One of the easier barrel nuts I've used

Easy enough to install. Used with a 9 inch barrel and it tucks the back of the KVP linear compensator perfectly.

FM 15" M-LOK handguard

Plenty of M-LOK slots, which makes for an ultralight and unique handguard. I bought this along with the FM 16" barrel for my FM9 PCC. Installation was slightly tricky due to the angles on the FM upper, but it turned out perfect. Just took a bit of adjustment by not cranking it straight to 40 lbs of torque. Rotate about 30° and it lines up perfectly.

Should have spent more…

Guys, just for the record, not trying to badmouth the hand guard but here is MY experience with it.. first impression was great, the right size for a 22 cal AR build with suppressor inside… nice look to it so was enthusiastic about it until.. no way was the handguard going over the barrel nut.. tried everything short of removing material from handguard… glad I dry fit it first before putting it on. I may have had the bad luck of getting the ONE defective piece.. but like I said.. should have spent more.

ultra lightweight handguard

Definitely a great buy i highly recommend buying one. For around $60 i don't think you can beat it. Very lightweight even the barrel nut is super light with 28 m-lok slots it has plenty of real estate to put on anything your heard desires � I rarely leave a review to that's saying something.
