Got it mounted to a px-9 night stalker and it ran like a dream. Deck sits up fairly high, so you can't co-witness. Brightness variables are perfect for any situation. Tested the shake awake function multiple times. Love the large circle around the dot on a smaller window. It does in fact have the circle around the green dot, even though it was labeled 3 MOA dot on the model selection. Exactly what I wanted, but I know it confused me when ordering it.

Solid optic, have about 500 rounds of .45 shooting with the rock. So far has held zero and had no issues at all. Shake to wake works great. Glass is pretty decent. Overall certainly happy with this optic for the price. If it continues to hold up and hold zero I will definitely buy more gideon products.

Only ran once so far. It’s riding on an Lpvo. The Britney’s settings are ok. Seems it goes from too bright to not bright enough. Like it skipped 2 settings. Adjustments seem ok. You can feel the detent clicks. I have a slight astigmatism. Eotechs give me no issues. Most does are a tiny fuzzy. This does well with my eyes. Having the ring around the retical always helps my eyes. 7075 housing. Shake awake. Top load battery. Not bad at all for under $200

Nice for picatinny mounted solutions. Great notice. Clear and perfect. ONLY critique is I wish it had a mount for my MP57

These are not the best red dots on the market. However these are very good sights for an extremely good cost. Emitter is very good and has the feel and utility that actual shooters would want. This is not going to be adopted by any first world military. But unless you’re shopping for a sight to use in frontline active combat, Gideon is really the way to go. If you want to spend as much money as possible so that the one day a year you go to the range you can impress 3 people who notice, then this is not for you.

My first pistol dot optic. I love it. Brightest setting are overwhelming inside. At low levels the crosshairs are crisp and easy to sight right through. The large outer circle makes it easy to find and recenter the dot. Shake-to-wake works too well - it's easy to forget to turn off. The tactile clicks on the adjustment knobs exist, but are gentle and easy to miss if not slow and deliberate in adjustments. I have supressor-height sights and can co-witness right through the glass. I'm really happy with this purchase and I think I need to outfit my whole collection this way.

This is a great sight. The glass is crystal clear in all light conditions. The reticle has multiple intensities to fit any light condition as well. The reticle is crisp and clear and easy to locate. The sight came with multiple baseplates for slides, a picatinny mount and several different attachment screws. Would definitely recommend. Also, the glass is not red as pictured!
Pros:
- Glass Quality
- Battery change without removal
- Reticle and clarity

This is exactly what I wanted for my EDC. American owned RMR clone. Looking forward to taking this to the range.
Pros:
- American owned RMR alternative
- comes with screws for 3 types of optics plates
Cons:
- RMR optic plate may require a minimal filing to set properly

This is a great entry level optic for the money! The Gideon Rock is a solid optic. It has a sturdy design and is a small enough size it is comfortable on your carry piece. One feature that stands out is that it has a 65 moa circle around the dot. It is a matter of preference for what style of dot you want in an optic, but I would recommend this optic for new shooters as the circle makes it just a little bit easier to find your dot quickly when you present. I know the Holosun 507k has a better system for that. But features like those are hardly ever found on a "budget" optic. Overall, it is a great optic for the beginner starting out, and the pro who doesn't have the money to keep buying a Trijicon for every gun.
Pros:
- Reliable and accurate
- Shake awake feature helps battery life
- The 65moa circle is great for finding the dot quickly.
- Sturdy and rugged design
Cons:
- You cant get rid of the 65moa circle if you dont want it.
- There is a minor blue tint in some lighting
Best Used for:
- Entry Level
- Conceal and carry
