Most Helpful Positive Review Good Castle Nut Wrench w/ Torque Wrench Slot
I've looked at a bunch of different armors wrench over past couple yrs and for the price and capabilities of this wrench plus the fact that most in this price range don't have a slot for a torque wrench but this one does and thats why I bought it on top of the price. Seems to be made of good steel and is nicely cut out. Used it a couple times to do castle nuts and so far it's worked out great and hasn't damaged or ruined any of my C. Nuts. I recommend this wrench.

Griffin wrench great for low clearance

by Gunner V. Fox, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on July 8, 2025
Wrench flats are great to have, but they are not always accessible for a few reasons.
If you have to install your muzzle device AFTER you install your rail, and there is not much gap between your rail of choice and the device, then getting a wrench on to it can be impossible or problematic.
Also, if you need to time your device, such as with brakes, very often you will need accu-washers, shims, or similar spacers. These often butt against your wrench flats and interfere with properly gripping your muzzle device.

This Griffin wrench has been great. It is very thin but strong and easily clears rails, handguards, and washers, allowing you to properly grip your muzzle device when access to the wrench flats is restricted, and allowing you to get a proper torque on to your device. Considering the low cost, there is little to no reason not to have one in your kit.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Strong
  • thin
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Muzzle device install

Fits loose

by Kipp, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 25, 2025
Only 2/3 of the tooth grabs onto the castle nut and you have to be super careful tightening it or else it'll slip off. The muzzle slot is loose and has a lot of pla. Probably not a good idea to torque anything down with this, Just snug tight. Great tool to have if you're with your friends and they need to work on their AR and borrow your tool so you give them this cheap one and use the expensive one for yourself.
Pros:
  • Affordable
Cons:
  • Fit loose
Best Used for:
  • Loaning to peasants

Armormors wrench

by Multi use wrench. It works, from OR, United States Written on March 26, 2024
It’s okay. A longer handle would be better. Not enough leverage.

Yup, it's a wrench

by Charlie, from WI, United States Written on September 4, 2023
Wrenches just fine. I sought out this wrench while looking for a wrench with which to wrench on my AR. I came across this wrench for under $10 and wondered why on earth all AR wrenches aren't under $10. Bought this wrench, and it wrenched just fine. (Why is wrench spelled with a 'W'?)
Pros:
  • Wrenches, small, not overpriced.
Cons:
  • None, it's a wrench.
Best Used for:
  • Wrenching
