Most Helpful Positive Review Cant beat this value
My first Hawke was the 2-7x32 IR with 30/30 cross. I have been hunting whitetail in Wisconsin for 25 years and have owned Leoupold VX-1-3's, Nikons, Weaver, Burris, Bushnell elites, Vortex and others I will no longer speak of... The scopes I listed are all great in different areas, but some were $5...

Most Helpful Negative Review Disappointed
Bad out of the box. Had it for a few months before able to use and now can't return it. Would not hold zero. VERY DISAPPOINTING! I wasn't expecting a high end scope with this, but I didn't even get any quality with this one.

2nd try scope

by Wes, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on December 9, 2025
This scope was a replacement for the first one, that was defective (not same brand). This one works great. It would have been better if it came with rings, but good scope.
Pros:
  • good sight pic
Cons:
  • No rings

hawke scope

by Royce, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 19, 2025
I bought it for my 22 just as a cheaper option knowing they are pretty good scopes and it surprised me with how good the clarity was I can punch 150 yard with it on a 22 with ease and still see where I hit through the same glass

In a world full of gadgetry, and oragami reticles. This scope is simple, light, straightforward and a jack of all trades. This was my 3rd one.

Hawke 2-7x32mm

by D Good, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on April 5, 2025
This is a dandy .22 scope for the money. All adjustments work correctly. And the parallax is on the money. For instance i ranged a squirrel at 15 ft. Dialed the parallax in and zoomed to 7X. Squirrel was clear. Scope is crisp and clear with no noticeable fringing. Only drawback is its quit heavy but not a deal-breaker.

Very Nice For The Money

by Mike S., Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on June 20, 2024
I purchased one of these Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 AO scopes for a .22LR bolt action rifle. I was pleased to see how far the parallax adjustments go down to just 5 yards. I wanted at least one optic that could do both close range as well as out to around 75 yards max for pest control. The glass is clear and the overall build quality is on par with scopes costing 2x as much. Long story short I am pleased with the purchase enough that I am in the process of purchasing a few more just moments after I type this. I have a few more .22LR rifles that are in need of a upgraded optic and I also just purchased a .22 cal air rifle that needs one too. I don't have any Class III NFA items and need something quiet occasionally as well. Fortunately I already knew what scope to buy because I just purchased the first one a few weeks ago.
Pros:
  • Well Made, Good Value, Low Parallax
Cons:
  • none thus far
Best Used for:
  • .22 Rimfire And High Powered Air Guns

Good value

by Bill, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on December 8, 2023
All the reviews I have read on this optic have really been good.
I bought this for a lever action .22lr which I wanted a fairly compact optic mainly as a squirrel getter.
Granted this is my first Hawke optic but initial impressions have really been good and the price I paid for it with it being on sale, a discount coupon code and some previously earned bonus bucks this was a no brainer purchase.

Good scope for the money

by Airgun fun, from GA, United States Written on April 21, 2022
I bought this scope for a powerful gas piston air rifle that is very hard on scopes. I have another scope just like it on another similar air rifle. I have had these scopes mounted on these air rifles for a while now, with several thousand shots to their credit. These scopes have done a good job of withstanding the harsh double recoil such air rifles produce, which can really destroy low quality scopes. While not the very best optical quality, they are above average and quite clear, especially compared to some scopes that are much more expensive that I have owned over the years. I consider this scope a good value for the all-around quality you get at this price level. The adjustments seem to work well and seem fairly accurate. They do tend to settle after the first adjustments are made and after a few shooting sessions, but after a few additional minor adjustments they seem very stable. Note that for spring piston and gas piston air rifles, you definitely need good solid mounts for any scope. I can't emphasize that last point enough. No scope will stay stable on such air rifles without good mounts, mounted tightly and correctly.
Pros:
  • Value, clarity, quality, tough, stable after final adjustments
Cons:
  • Adjustments may settle after the first use requiring some minor tweaking for a final stabel zero
Best Used for:
  • hunting and/or shorter-range target shooting

Great scope

by CK, from MI, United States Written on December 8, 2021
I mounted the Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 2-7x32 scope on a Benjamin 392.
The gun was allways very accurate but my eyes are getting pretty bad.
This scope made all yhe difference in the world. Put the fun back in shooting.
Pros:
  • All adjustments work smooth and as they should.
Cons:
  • None
