I put this on a PTR-91 (.308) and put a few magazines through her to make comparison between this and my other brakes. Without listing the 20+ I've used so far, this was in the top 3 as far as recoil reduction. The top ports do resist some muzzle rise, but not enough on this model rifle. The bulk of its value came in keeping the placement still on the bipod's legs without jumping back, as is frequent in HK91 clones. Side blast, however, is substantial, as is noise increase. Weight is on the high end of normal for this brake, but nothing worth noting. The fit-and-finish is excellent.
