The difference over the mil spec Daniels Defense trigger and this HIPERFIRE EDT Heavy Gunner are significant. The trigger is very smooth. Chose the 4.5 lb. spring, I love it.
One thing that was not obvious in the instructions is you must remove the pistol grip on the DD M4V7P AR-15 pistol so that you can then remove the safety switch / lever (safe/fire) selector lever to fit the trigger assembly inside the lower receiver.
Also, you must use the long slender pin (comes in the kit) to push out the pin in the new trigger once it is in place and follow behind the long slender pin the permanent pin. What a fantastic method of installation.

I picked this trigger up because I knew that a lot of the ammo that I would be shooting would be the Russian steel case ammo which is known to have hard primers. This is a common concern with ARs that are chambered in this cartridge. I've had previous AR-15 builds myself that had issues until I increased the hammer spring or a complete trigger swap out. So that is what led me down the path to finding the Heavy Gunner trigger package. One of the Q&A's had a customer specifically ask if this would be good for 7.62x39 so that was basically the selling point for me. I will be honest that I have just installed the trigger into my build and not had the chance to shoot it but from my previous experience in AR's in 7.62x39 that I mentioned above I think after dry firing it I won't be having any issues at all. The trigger is crisp and consistent. The fit and finish are top notch and I like the little things like the piolet rod that comes in the box so that you can more easily install the trigger group in your rifle. Also, the two different hammer springs are great. You can get a ~4.5 lb. or ~5.5lb. trigger pull depending on what your build calls for. I chose the heavier spring for the reason above. If for any reason I stop liking this trigger group once I shoot the rifle it's in I will make sure to provide an update. But again, I can't see any real reason that would happen.

Quality control was lacking. Had a shaving trapped under the coating. Normal this isn’t a big deal except that was was dead middle of the hammer face. I sanded it out and spot filled the sealant. Followed the directions for install but the trigger would not fit due to a length issue. Didn’t feel like taking apart the grip and messing with detents so I just harvested the 4lb spring and put it on a psa nickel trigger I had laying around and it’s works well with it.

Compared to the stock trigger on my DPMS LR 308 this trigger is wonderful. It breaks cleanly at 4.5 pounds as compared to the stock trigger that had a huge amount of drag before breaking at over 7 pounds. Great trigger at a great price.
Pros:
- Price
- Trigger Pull and Reset

Initially, I was hesitant to purchase this trigger with the lower price point. Now, I am pleasantly surprised by its performance. So much so that I purchased another one. Performance: crisp trigger break with a short reset complimented by a short and smooth trigger pull/press. The more I use it, the more I appreciate it. I have already recommended it to several people.

This is a solid trigger. There is a minimal amount of creep, though it's very smooth and only noticeable if you try. If you just pull the trigger you cannot tell. Clean break and crisp audible reset. For the price, this is a great trigger and there arent many out there at this price point that can compete.
Pros:
- cool design
- audible reset

I have a KS-47 now years in the making due to parts missing and finally got to shoot it. It would shoot so had about every 7 or so not fire. Replaced with titanium firing pin and that went up to about 9-12 with hard primer issue. So read around and found this particular one pop up often in forums and reviews to be seemingly used on many 7.62x39 builds. Conveniently we all had same issue being hard primers messing up our range fun. Well that has ended with this installed, I will say have a few firing pins stored in hand grip in case pin dulls. Even titanium likely will dull over time creating other issue.
Pros:
- solid construction
- 7.62x39 Striker Reliability
- Feels Crisp and Light
Best Used for:
- any AR build
- Solves Hard Primer Issues

I truly enjoy my Hyperfire Enhanced duty triggers, have them installed in both AR10 and AR15 rifles. Easy to install, the exact purpose of a drop in triggee. The reason i like these if you ever have to change parts its simple. Most drop in triggers have covering and if you have to replace parts its alot of work. The different springs will determine your trigger pull.
Pros:
- Easy to install and all optics went on easy

Have four of these in my ar’s. As far as I am concerned a great trigger at a perfect pull weight. Solid quick recover will shoot as fast as I need and have never had misfire because of weak hammer. Works good for target practice and tactical practice. Installed with anti walk pins and you have a setup you can trust with your life.
