must have for dewey rods

If your cleaning station consists of various rods and cleaning attachments that you have acquired over the years, you will need this adapter. It will allow you to use common 8-32 thread cleaning jags and brushes. Dont let a part that costs only a few dollars force you to buy a new rod that costs 40-50 dollars.

A critical piece

If you want to use your J.Dewey cleaning rod you need this adapter. Optics planet supplied it quickly and cheaply. I could not find it locally so I bought two just to have a spare and they arrived in less than a week

fits and works with J.Dewey rod

Package has no clear instructions on/in package regarding which end is the 8/36 and which one is the 8/32. Had to carefully thread adapter onto brush so not to damage adapter threads to find out which end was 8/32.
