incorrect description
No major issues with the barrel itself, but the description stating that the gas system is carbine is incorrect as it is actually pistol length. The description also states that it is double dimpled when it is only single dimpled. The gas port position is slightly out of spec as I had to shave a few thousandths off the back of my gas block to get it centered. My barrel had some slight corrosion on the barrel extension and around the crown out of the box and oxidation all over the rest of the barrel. It was still factory sealed. Cleaned up quickly and doesn’t look terrible after the fact.

Wow first off ups and usps beat the heck out of the optics planet box. It was ripped open and bent and dented. So I was pleasantly surprised to find the barrel in a premium box and packaged incredibly well. Jacob Gray has really made an impression on me. I’ve ordered a lot of barrels. Quite a few from optics planet. ( spikes CHF double chrome lined ) not a cheap barrel. And they always show up in just a plastic bag. Maybe if your lucky it has thread protector on it. This barrel arrived clean and really gave a fun unboxing experience. The barrel mounted well to an aero precision upper receiver and I put a Midwest industry hand guard. I have not shot it yet as I’m still deciding on optics. So I will add another review once I shoot it.
