Barrel Nut Out of Spec, Manufacturer Response Appalling

Quality hand guard
This is a high quality grip. I like the Quality of product and way it looks on my AR-308. One of the few with a 45 degree leading edge.

JL Billet handguard review
This 17 inch angle cut handguard is very nice. The machine work is well done. It is very light for a 17 in model. You get everything you need including the barrel nut and some instructions with torque specs. I would have liked it more if the handguard had screws that go directly into a timed barrel nut. But it seems the method they used is pretty industry standard and should work fine.

17" handguard
Couldnt be happier with it. They way it mayes up with my aero m5 almost makes it seem like it was meant to be. Im happy i went with the 17" model, it gives more more then enough room to put anything i want on it, and its just enough wieght to where it feels comfortable to shoulder the rifle.

great product
This handguard looks great. Seems to be built very well. Not the cheapest handguard out there but really adds a nice look to your build. I also havent seen any other ar with ine at the range so it adds that custom feel instead of having the same thing as everyone else.

17” High profile
Received hand guard and the quality is absolutely amazing. Very light weight and still constructed well enough to be very sturdy. I did receive the wrong barrel nut, however one message to JL billet directly and the correct one is on the way! No need to involve Optics planet.

Good handguard, does not fit Xanthos 2A upper receiver
The 2A Xanthos threads are shorter than the barrel nut threads so the barrel will be loose. If you do not have a grinder and some sand paper for the barrel nut, I do not recommend for that upper. Works great with my Aero upper, really wanted to put it on the 2A upper though.
