I finally bought the 5700 Ballistics with Link after years of watching and researching. I love this thing. It took me a few hours of playing with it, but then I was off to the races. Very easy to set up and the learning curve for all the functions was, like I said earlier, just a matter of playing with it for a while. I didn't really realize how beneficial it was to have everything needed for long range shots (except for ranging) in one gadget and not having to worry about my phone battery dying on me. Kestrel 5700 Go to Tool For Range Bag
I picked the Kestrel 5700 as an alternative to phone apps for shooting PRS. I can say but once cry once was the best advice to follow. In two practice sessions I have found the value of the Kestrel 5700.

Nothing else compares
Top notch product, well made, and very accurate. Nothing out there comes close to this. The ballistic data is spot on and it's very easy to use.
It's a little daunting to use at first, but the quick start manual walks you through everything and will have you on target.

Amazing Ballistic Computer
Probably one of the easiest pieces of equipment to use. At first I was hesitat on the ease of use, but once you're all set up and out in the field it becomes super easy and very intuitive to use. Highly recommend this product. This is also an easy set into ballistic software without spending $600+ on the more advance version. Especially if you're new to using a kestrel!

FANTASTIC!!!!
Just received the Kestrel 5700 and it is a beaut. 1.) The digital window is a perfect size for the item, not to big but not small enough for my old eyes. 2.) The settings are a breeze to setup, but I have to admit that I looked at a couple of videos on YouTube about the Kestrel 5700 so that made it a little more easier to set it up. 3.) The many options for a personal set-up is great.

Worth every Penny
This made my long distance shooting a breeze. I honestly should have bought this years ago. I'm currently using Stelok and the first time I started inputting reliable wind data, I was getting first round hits at 1000 yards easily. The unit is a breeze to set up and and is critical for the input of correct sight in data. I've now been able to document the exact velocity changes I'm getting due to temperature which I wasn't able to do before.

Kestrel is awesome
This Kestrel is awesome. Takes all the math out of making a long distance shot. All the big time precision rifle shooters use this kestrel model or the one above it. Only comes in tan but that’s ok. You have to download the app and that makes it even easier to set up your own gun profile
