I bought M30 12.5x50x56 two years ago at $350 on sale price. It seems performing well until today. The focus turret not longer works, can only turn between 10 to 12 yard, it can no longer focus even between 10-12 yards as it shows.
Guys, finally I have to accept the fact that do not buy junk scopes. But I do believe many people like me learned the hard lessons. I got what I paid for. $350 can only last two years, exactly Konus two years warranty. I have to admit Konus calculated life expectancy is very accurate.
Please learn the lessons from me, buy some brands with lifetime warranty. Buy some good ones last for life time.

I bought this one at $359 on sale. I used to mount it on my upgraded Remington 700 308 rifle. Yes, it holds zero very well. Easy to focus, class clarify is not very good but is ok for this price. I have tried high magnification but not really practical so the highest power I feel comfort to use is 24x.
I did see many bad reviews and believe Konus, just like some other budget scopes, quality is inconsistent. Maybe I am lucky that so far I have had no problems with it.

The Pro30 has a turret engineering defect. I have read several reviews that spoke negatively about the turrets. I too had problems. Both elevation and windage turrets were incredibly hard to pull out of the locked position. After about 20 time pulling up and pushing down both turrets loosened up. Next, I took the top screw out to check the turret zero. The windage turret was fine. The elevation turret wouldn't budge. I pulled really hard and the turret cap came off. It broke the rubber O-ring. The good thing is the elevation turret now works as intended. The bad thing is the turret is no longer sealed. The turret adjustment is very crisp. They are not as loud as clicks go. The glass is good. Very sharp at all powers. There is no haziness at the highest power. The parallax focuses well. I don't like the ocular bell adjustment. It has a locking ring. I prefer a non-locking ring setup. The reticle is good. The anti-cant bubble is a bit sensitive but a cool element. I won't send the scope to the manufacturer just yet. I'll wait until I go to the range and see if there are any other defects. That goes for a tracking test.

This scope came with completely frozen and useless turrets that could not be adjusted in any way, which was Super Frustrating because I did not realize this problem until AFTER I had wasted my time mounted the scope, which takes some time to get everything perfect and level with optimal eye relief. HOWEVER, OpticsPlanet was awesome with giving me credit without any hassles that I just used to buy another Vortex, a brand that has yet to let me down. THANK YOU, OpticsPlanet; it is nice to know there is a great place to purchase scopes online at reasonable prices that also takes care of their customers. OpticsPlanet ROCKS.
Pros:
- Great Prices for features
Best Used for:
- You CAN'T USE for anything without working turrets

Brilliant product with a very good optical quality. Excellent brightness. Mechanically speaking I never had problems. Outstanding performances in all weather situations. Excellent value for money, as per all the Konus products.

Glass is just OK, not great, but the scope would still be a goid value if there was any quality invloved. However, after spending several hours mounting the scope perfectly on a new Remington PCR, I then realize BOTH turrets will not move, making it impossible to zero the scope or use it. DO NOT BUY KONUS; total garbage and a huge waste if my time. Have mounted and used hundreds of scopes over the years, Nikon, Vortex, NightForce, Bushnell, Burris, Leupold, end even brands cheaper than Konus, and have never seen anything like this with comoletely frozen turrets.
Cons:
- Turrets Don't Turn; total garbage
Best Used for:
- Wasting your time mounting it

Appears to have quality construction. The scope is to be used on a rimfire target rifle; crosshairs are fine, which should allow good performance. For the price the scope appears to be of good value.
