Best backpacking scope. Period.
This is around the 8th spotting scope I've owned, always in search of the perfect backpacking scope, and I've finally found it. I've owned a bunch of different brands in the past, but this is by far the best.
This weighs less than lots of binoculars out there.
This scope performs phenomenally in low light situations (which was surprising, given it's a 55 mm objective).
This scope is as clear as anything I've ever looked through.
I pair this scope with my iPhone with a phoneskope adapter and it's great for taking video.

Great scope
It’s light weight and clear. I decided it’s the scope I am going to carry hunting vs a large scope. I realized the light gathering of larger scopes only helps the last few min of light. I won’t be able to cover 2-5 miles in the last 30 min of light.

Great compact spotter
I bought this and compared it with my Nikon ED50 with the 13-30x eyepiece. The Kowa is noticeably better in resolution than the Nikon. With the Kowa, I was able to resolve 22 caliber bullets holes in the white of the target out to 400 yards. I was impressed.
