Most Helpful Positive Review solid mount
fits both my vortex UH-1 and a 3x magnifier with room left to spare. the 5/8" height clears my laser and keeps my field of view open
Most Helpful Negative Review Fair Picatinny Riser
The issue I encountered was the locking throw levers lock to the rear, too close to an AR charging handle. It does not leave enough room to get your finger on the left side of the charging handle. Moving the Picatinny riser forward does not leave enough riser to securely mount a thermal scope for pr...

Well Engineered

by Thom Jones, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 22, 2025
As a serious “return to zero” 1913 rail, the La Rue is extremely well-engineered. It even comes with a specialty wrench to adjust the bolts.

The one thing that isn’t covered in the Optics Planet description is how tall this item actually is. I think La Rue’s description has this as 5/8” tall. If you’re using this for an optic, you might want to do some measurements first.
Pros:
  • Very well machined
Cons:
  • None

Issues with mounting

by Paul, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on October 22, 2025
First, the locking levers lock to the rear. When locked, the locking lever is too close to the charging handle on an AR. Moving the mount further ahead makes eye relief difficult.

Second, the top Picatinny rail was too wide for my thermal scope. The sides of the rail edges are wider than the Picatinny rail on the AR.

Exactly what I was looking for in order to quickly swap optics. Excellent build quality and locking system. I feel like I got a pretty good deal too when it was on sale.

LaRue Tactical Dual QD Lever Picatinny Riser

by Phil, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on May 6, 2025
I bought this to raise my scope rings on a chassis 10/22 build for NRL22. I've used LaRue mounts on my tactical guns before and couldn't be happier. This mount worked even better than I had expected and I can remove and remount my scope without worrying about having to rezero the rifle.
Pros:
  • Extremely Sturdy
Cons:
  • a bit expensive
Best Used for:
  • Scope Mounting

Definitely a riser....

by PS, from WA, United States Written on January 28, 2025
I wanted to add QD to a set of MOA adjustable rings and this works out great, I did need quite a lift for the cheek piece, but the stock was accommodating. First impression was that it was butter smooth and rock solid.

LaRue do i need to say more!

by beef, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on October 4, 2023
Purchased this riser for a eotech xps and g43 magnifier. Prefect amount of height and QD levers are super smooth. Mounted riser backwards to prevent QD levers from snagging. Comes with a box ended wrench to adjust lever tightness. LaRue really thought of everything. Perfect solution to move my optic setup around!
Pros:
  • Solid well built
Cons:
  • None
