Loose and locked half open while carried in my kinda deep front pocket. I was on a ladder when I felt the tip of steel from the cutters poking. Needs a sheath, pouch or kevlar undies with a plate carrier. I like the aluminum handles? The blue is cool. They’ll live in my packable 1st aide kit. Opening and closing takes some training to repeat efficiently. I’m a little leery to cut pennies or thick materials with semi loose sheers. The blades feel fine when cutting. I bought them for the thick polished steel and the aluminum handles.
