I really like that Luepold offers a duplex reticle in a standard scope. I do not like all the gobbledygook mill dot, BDC, etc on a hunting scope. Great scope. Love the 30 mm tube. More compact and lighter weight than a 34 mm. Typical Leupold quality: excellent! This will go on a .308 varmint rifle.

VERY BRIGHT
Mounted this on an AR for night hunting and will HIGHLY recommend this for low light hunting. a small weapon mounted light is plenty out to 200 yards with thi piece of glass. I will be buying another soon.

order and receiving luepold rifle scope
Leupold 5HD 2-10x42 rifle scope. Description of item was spot on. Some of the reviews were helpful. Placing order was easy. Received item within 4 days. Wasted one day waiting for package to arrive. Tracking said would be delivered on Thursday and would have to be signed for. Item came in on Friday and carrier said could have been placed by front door without signature. ?? Item was shipped in original unopened factory package/box inside an additional box filled with batting. Item was against one side of box with batting surrounding other three sides. No damage No defects with product I can tell so far. Still need to mount and sight on Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor. Contacted Luepold and verified serial number of scope. Is a valid Leupold scope. Optics Planet is a luepold approved carrier of their products.

High Value
Best scope of the money I have found. It's not inexpensive but you get what you pay for.
Very clear scope, no side shadows, The small red centering dot helps but one will probably not notice it if you shoot in a hurry. shut off feature on the red dot saves battery. Low end power (2) has very wide field of view. The number one reason I buy Leupold scopes is for the added eye relief .. saves the eyebrow if you creep up on the scope.

Great Value
As always another fine American Made Product from Leopold.
I own or have owned more than a dozen of Leopold products over the last 40+ years.
The one time I had an issue with one the company made good on the warranty in short order, even when the problen was caused by me, can not say that about the many other rifle scopes, binoculars, monocular , spotting scopes, rangefinders etc
I prefer Leopold rife scopes for the extra long eye relief, just in case I creep up on the scope, less likely to get scope eyebrow.

VX-5HD 2-10
Scope is worth every penny, it is clear, with great field of view and light transmission. The ZL2 turret is really cool, no more worrying about the turret being bumped or turned in the brush. Haven’t ordered the custom cds dial yet, but I plan on it as soon as my hand loads are finalized.

Leupold does it again!
I am a long time fan of Leupold products. I own six scopes, a range finder, and a pair of binoculars. In addition, while not a necessity, I am pleased to buy from an american company. This particular scope is the best I've owned to date. Extremely clear, I love the eye adjustment, and both the elevation and windage adjustments are precise and easy. I also love the red dot reticle. At my age a little help is appreciated; the red dot quickly and naturally allows center acquisition. This is my 3rd CDS scope and have used this feature to ethically harvest several animals.
Finally, esthetics are important to me and this scopes' profile looks great on my rifle.

Vx5HD 2x10
I am highly impressed with this scope. It has great eye relief, field of view, and clarity. In my opinion the vx5HD is one of the best options in its class. The glass is ultra clear and the reticle is perfect, thin lines unlike some of the vxR models I've seen. If you are in the market for a high end scope at a mid price point, I would go for the leupold. One thing I was slightly disappointed in was the model on the optics planet photo is a bronze color, I was surprised when my scope was black. Color doesn't affect the quality, just wish opticsplanet photos were accurate.

Crystal clear scope
This scope is crystal clear. I selected this scope to attach to my M1a National Match rifle (just as soon as my backorder from Optics Planet comes in with the necessary tools to mount it, LOL). I especially like the ability to manually turn on the red dot. As with all Leupold products, (I have 4 so far), it is dependable, highest quality and great craftsmanship at what I believe is a reasonable price.
