Don't bet your life on it.
I am a cop and was going to use this on my duty weapon. It won't work. Same issue as the first reviewer. The extractor spring gets bound up and I can't get it to feed or extract. Poor quality on tolerances. I hope the planet or LF makes it right. The LF26 works fine but this LF17 is a POS.
Solid slide for optic mounting.
Arrived as described. Solid slide that I mounted on a Gen 3, G17. Great fit and finish. Tight tolerances throughout. Front site (AmGlo steel) was very tight and took a bit of pressure. Rear sight went right on. Ejector, Striker channel liner, Striker installed-no problem. Firing pin safety plunger was very snug but went in after a slight pocket knife bevel. Probably would have worked in itself, but was snug at first. Barrel and and the rest was spot on. Mounted a Holosun 407C GR, 2 MOA on top and went with the shorter screw mounts as the longer screws just dipped into the extractor channel by a CH. Test fired and sighted in the dot. Zero malfs and ran 200 rounds-outstanding. I'm new to dots and already loving the sight picture and follow ups. You could send your slide in for milling, but my guy was backed up forever. LF17 is a great option for this and is comparable in cost.

Awesome slide for RMR cut and Ported Barrel
Outstanding quality , light weight, Finish (Ti color) is excellent. I bought this slide to adapt a Holosun 507C X2 on my Glock 17C. Slide ran flawlessly from the 1st shot to the 500th with no issue at all. I like the slide so much I bought a black one for my Glock 19 and bought a Glock 19C Barrel (OEM) since the ported slide fits perfectly. I also just Ran 500 rounds through it with no Issues also.
The only complaint is that the RMR mounting hole on the right side goes all the way through to the EXTRACTOR DEPRESSOR PLUNGER. Make sure you use the smaller mounting screws that comes with the Holosun. Luckily I cycled a dummy round to catch it before taking it to the range.

Elite rmr slide
I have a safari precision slide and I got one livefreearmory slides and compared the both of them. LFA slide is lighter more cuts on slide for racking just in general more stylish slide �.

Great price and excellent quality!
Received this slide last week and have installed night sights and a Holosun 507. The styling and quality of manufacturing are bothe outstanding. Finish is outstanding and it fit and functions perfectly on my Glock17. I am very happy with this purchase. I looked at a lot of other options that cost hundreds more but this slide is their equal or better. You will not be disappointed.

Manufacturer Defect
I’ve purchased two LFA LF 17 slides for my builds resulting in the same issue. The extractor plunger spring seizes in the tube and can no longer function resulting in failure to extracts. There seems to be a clearance issue within the tube or potentially a burr not allowing the spring to articulate with the extractor so the bottom of the casing is not captured after firing. I’ve reached out to LFA but have yet to get a response on repair or replacement. The fit and finish of the product is great. The slide is very light and when I did get some range time in even with having to clear and re-rack it was still nice to shoot with it being so light and balanced. Overall, my experience has not been as expected but I’m sure a remedy will be made.

Glock 17 Gen 3 Perfect Fit
This is a high quality slide that fits perfectly. It looks great! It works great! I don’t care how much your spending, you won’t find a better quality product. I’m so glad that I chose quality over just price. I saved hundreds of dollars compared to the slide that I was looking at that costs much more. You think because the other brand of slides must be better because they costs more, you’re wrong. I work for a company that makes food processing equipment and we know machining and CNC very well, that’s part of my job. The people at Live Free Armory take pride in their work you can see it. This is the best slide that you can buy for any price and this one saves you hundreds of dollars. BUY IT!!
