I now have three different optics from this company. From guiding me with my elementary questions, to helping me sort technical issues, Lucid Optics was was accessible and willing to assist. Big box stores can’t touch what true customer service can provide.

I chose the Lucid L7 over Primary Arms and Burris RT6, primarily because I liked the simplicity of the reticle. It was also on sale, so I saved $50. The Pros: lifetime warranty, love the reticle, the glass is clear, great FOV,built in throw lever, Comes with caps and a scope cover. The cons: definitely not day light bright, no off between illumination settings... but for a scope under $350 I have no complaints!

High end optics, I love it. But the only way I can comfortably look through it and and get a good picture, is with an ULTRA HIGH mount . Normal high isn't high enough on my ar-15 . Not necessarily a bad thing to be honest, maybe a different stock would fix that
Pros:
- metal
- High quality
- Illuminated recticle

This is one of those optics that if it had a different name on it, one would easily be spending between 1-2,000 dollars. The owner of Lucid Optics has found a way to make quality glass at prices that every person can afford. The company has great customer service and a fantastic warranty on all their products. As a former army sniper I can easily say this scope has some of the same features I had on the top of the line models that were issued to me. For someone that is looking for a scope with those features, at entry level prices, you will find it in this model. This optic will work perfectly on a AR for mid range setup and it is also compatible with night vision. For the money you can't go wrong.

Looking for a "true 1x" power variable scope for both an AR chambered in 7.62x51 (Sig Sauer 716) and 5.56 (LWRC IC-A5). Didn't have a four figure budget. Needed to be able to handle the recoil of the larger round. Be able to quickly and intuitively visualize a target at close range [10-30 yds] (hence the "true 1x") as well as the flexibility to be visually consistent out to 500+ yds. An illuminated reticle that worked for both CQB as well as distance, didn't take up too much real estate on distant targets and wasn't too busy, as well as being etched. Smooth and easy zooming from 1-6x and back. Clear glass with minimal distortion. Rugged. The L7 did alll of these things almost perfectly, considering the price range. The blue reticle really stands out against almost every background. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is that in bright daylight the illumination washes out (but to balance that out, I will say the etched reticle remains crisp and clear). It's not a deal breaker but it would be great if Lucid could find a way to increase the brightness at the highest setting. In average to low lighting conditions the illumination is excellent without being overpowering and distracting. Sure, it isn't crystal perfect $3K+ glass, but I'd rate this against the +$1K Vortex, Nikon, Burris, etc. especially for the price tag. A number of far better shooters than I have tried my rig out and were very impressed. I'll be buying another one to run on both rigs. If you don't have $1-2...

I am happy with this optic.
I was looking for an affordable 1-6 and this matches my requirements
One improvement would be to also illuminate the elevation hash marks as
they disappear against many backgrounds.
