This stock will not let you down. Very nice product, fits perfectly. Green color looks great. Definitely invest in the mag well setup, made it a completely different gun. The buttpad is really soft and really soaks up any recoil.

Definately Not A Universal Fit
This stock will not fit a Remington 700 LA rifle with a J Lock bolt/bolt shroud. Even if you change the J Lock bolt shroud to a standard shroud the extended J Lock cocking piece will still hit the cheek piece when the bolt is fully retracted. Versatile Stock
Nice quality stock that was a direct fit for my Remington 700. Had to custom fit the bolts which essentially entails taking the burs off the stock screws. The burs made the stock screws slightly longer than spec so this stock is probably closer to spec than the original.

Not for the remg. 700 in a 338 lm
Was told by mag pull that it should fit the 338 lm in the remg. LA 700

Accuracy issues
I recently upgraded to a magpul stock for my Remington 700 in 30-06 mainly for the ability to decrease the length of pull, but the entire stock is a great fit ergonomically. My issue is that the accuracy has gone down. With the Remington stock I was consistently keeping 5 shot groups at 2inches and under at 200yds. Now I am throwing 6 in groups at the same distance. I've checked the scope mounts and all the mounting hardware on the magpul stock. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or any suggestions.

Magpul Hunter Replacement for factory
This stock is a huge improvement over the factory stock. I added the rails to the bottom to set up an easy pi-pod mount. In addition, adding the removable magazine is an absolute Game Changer! This product is completely worth the price!

B-14 stock upgrade
I wanted to have a more tactical/competition feel for LR shooting on my Bergara B-14 Ridge. The LA stock for Remington 700 slipped right in. The factory check riser at .25" was a smidge high so I bought a 0 rise and put it on. This put my sight alignment spot on and eliminated the need to remove the stock to remove bolt for service. The stock design also reduced felt recoil by I'd guess as much as 10% from the factory Bergara stock. It's a tad heavier now, so if Mount hunting is where you want to be, I wouldn't go this route. But highly recommend for moving in the precision direction for the money

Love this product
Easy to mount on .! The mag is a little loose but fits right .! Brings out the Remington 700l perfect ... came in a few days after ordering! Would recommend for others! Of green is the best I believe .. easy.!! Need to update what models it goes with

Great stock at a great price
Bought this stock at a really good price the stock is very sturdy and love the color od green also bought the magpul bottom metal to go along with the stock replacing it was very simple and easy have not had the opportunity to take it to the range yet but if everything works out good I will be purchasing another stock for a .223 cal 700 vtr

Magpul replacement stock for a Remington 700.
I have not had a chance to use my rifle yet at the range, but I would say that so far I do like the look and the feel of it. It was an easy installation changing from the original Remington stock to this Magpul. The stock is very well-made. I can’t wait to use it at the range because it seems like it will be a perfect fit for what I want to do with it. I will also use it for hunting as well. I would recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade the original Remington 700 stock.

Magpul 700 Long Action Hunter rifle stock
This item was purchased to restock my Rem 700 ADL 7mm Mag rifle. I gave it 4 stars because this was not a DROP IN adventure. I needed to purchase new longer action screws and then cut them down to properly torque them down. A bit of a pain but nothing that couldn't be overcome. I also purchased the Magnum Well Kit which is well worth the money. This rifle never was very good at feeding extra rounds from the blind mag, but with the mag well kit it is silky smooth with no issues at all. Magpul needs to design their cheek riser to allow the bolt to be removed. As it is, the bolt hits the riser and you need to remove the riser in order to remove the bolt. Not a major thing, but it does require you to have a tool with you.

- Bedding is excellent - groups were tighter

- swivel accessories should be included
- Cheek riser does not allow removal of bolt

Great stock for a Remington 700!
Love the ergonomics of this stock. Fits perfect. I also like the fact that the stock can have spacers added and that the cheek riser can be swapped out as well! I bought the mag well for it as well. If you do not own a BDL then you'll need to either: A) buy a bottom plate from Remington, B) buy the Magpul Mag well.
