excellent upgrade for your AK
This front sight fit my C39v2 perfectly. The machining is great. I like the overall shape, especially how it widens at the base. The tritium dot helps improve the AK sight picture a great deal. Tritium could be a little brighter, but honestly it's about as good as any trijicon night sight and for half the price. I would buy this item first before spending more on other brands.
meprolight AK front sight post
4 stars because I only installed it and haven’t used it yet . It gives adequate glow to more effectively pick up the front post . A con I see and was mentioned, you won’t be able to fine tune it as you would the factory front post because of the inherent design . To me this equates into decreased longer range precision . I hope to update as I use .

It is not compatible with the AK Front SIte Barrel
When you thread in the site it does not go in firmly/tight. The site is lose and sloppy making it useless.

Does the Job
Fit loosely in my standard akm style front post, won’t work with ak sight tool, and will not fit (unless it’s cut down) on the Yugo pistols. Otherwise it’s a nice visible glow and isn’t so big that it messes with the sight picture. It’s a drop in night sight that works, can’t complain too much.

Disappointment
Green light was not as intense as my other tritium sights. May be older manufacture date? Thread was loose in my Romanian front sight body. Had to bottom out the sight to have the tritium capsule in line of view.

Great additions
Very easy to install, very bright, makes alignment very fast. Slightly wider than standard post. Difficult to hit targets over 100 yards because the post is so big. A quick adjustment to the battle zero setting at the rear sight leaf fixed the issue with the large post, now 18" groups can be easily obtained out to 350 yards. Very cool product to achieve combat accuracy in all light conditions.

Handy and easy
Good night sight if you like to keep it simple. A little big but it gets the job done. I'm using mine with a peep sight without too much trouble but I'm not looking for sub moa with this product. Installation is easy as you would expect and the tritium stands out just fine in low light.

Ak-47 front sight
Love this sight! got this as a back up for my Ak dot sight. The front sight post stands out very well and aligns amazingly with my Ak's setup... One of the better products out there..Optics planet provided great service!! I had no problems and delivery was timely..

A must upgrade to any Kalashnikov
Fits my Bulgarian SLR 101S and Saiga .308. Make sure you don't push the metal tongue too much otherwise the sight will be very loose fitting. Use pliers to pull up on the metal tongue after removing the rear sight. Reinsert sight.
