Most Helpful Positive Review Sweet and Simple
I bought mine on Dvor (demo) Still like brand new. I like this sight it is a full alloy housing with a very large sight window. The simgle dot with NVG makes for clearer image from sight glow back. AA battery usage means if worse comes to worse you can snag battery from common items. Quick release ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Worst red dot ever
I have never hated a product more, it is hardly visible in light and not cheap by any means, soooo many better options I hate that I bought this and wish I didn’t. They market this product as a competitor wish Eotech, I can’t ever see myself even comparing the two it truly sucks. I never write revie...

Extremely bad parallax

by gfd, from VA, United States Written on August 23, 2023
Parallax is terrible and frankly unacceptable for use in a red dot. If you buy one of these things, set it down on a table and test the parallax. Put the dot on a reference point, and move your head back and forth and see if the dot is still on the target. Even a small amount of movement induces a noticeable parallax shift. The horizontal parallax shift near the edges of the viewing window gets so bad that it it is off by several feet at 100 yards. The worst part is that the parallax starts almost immediately - there is a very, very small safe area near the center where you don't see parallax shift.
This is a red dot that requires you to shoot nose-to-charging-handle and would be very difficult to use in any sort of unorthodox or compromised position with a bad head angle. The large window is pointless given how bad the parallax shift is.
Absolutely no reason to ever buy one of these nowadays. I have vintage Aimpoints from 25 years ago that exhibit less parallax shift.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Parallax
Best Used for:
  • nothing - do not buy

what my X95 was missing

by Eric Scott, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 22, 2023
i have had my IWI x95 for a few years but have been using an LPVO on it. i should not have waited to add the RDS instead. the window is HUGE compared to my Eotech EXPS sights. very noticeably so. the X95 balances so much better and the RDS fits the x95's purpose. the only thing i would have liked is more brightness levels, but not enough of an issue to downgrade my review. its easily daylight bright and more, just wish there were more in the "dimmer" range
Pros:
  • Easy to mount
  • Large Window
  • easy to reach controls
Cons:
  • Needs more brightness adjustments
Best Used for:
  • CQB
  • close range movement

Meprolight metro RDS RED DOT SIGHTS

by Jose H Garcia Perez, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 11, 2023
I haven't used it much yet... but the finishes and materials are very solid... you can use it with both eyes open and the movement sensor works, it's easy to attach to the rifle... it comes with a cover to protect the scope when it's not in use and tools to clean the lenses from dust and dirt... very elementary but it's good…it's very light...once it's in place it doesn't make any substantial difference
