Most Helpful Positive Review excellant chassis
First of all I purchased a M-1 style stock for my 1022 a couple of years ago because this chassis was not in stock and had not been for several months. It was ok but not what I really wanted. Recently I found this chassis in stock at Optics Planet so I pulled the trigger. Im so glad I did. This allows a completely free floating barrel which is a must for true accuracy in the Ruger 1022.It made quite a bit of difference on a 100 yd shot. At 50 yds not as much. It may not matter to most to have 1/2" groups at 100 yds but to me it does. I like to have as much accuracy I can get with the lowest co...

MI 10/22 chassis

by MH, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on December 7, 2025
Well built. Fit is good. No complaints. It will come with some added weight but it’s all aluminum so that is to be expected.

Gold Standard Chassis for the Ruger 10/22

by Vaughn, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 14, 2025
Nothing wrong with a standard 10/22, but this takes the platform to a new level. The product was fairly simple to install and you can customize your rifle to meet your needs. The quality and fitment are excellent.

Tacticool 10/22 if thats your thing.

by Huey, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on May 14, 2025
Built a 10/22 from parts and used this for my chassis. It gives the 10/22 a mini AK look. With a bull barrel and this chassis, it's definitely not something I enjoy shooting off-hand or want to lug around with a sling, but from a bench it's a tack driver. Everything fit like it should and no complaints on the finish and quality.

Chassis is amazing

by shane, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on April 9, 2025
I recently upgraded my Ruger 10/22 with this new chassis, and I am thoroughly impressed! The fit and finish are top-notch and it has completely transformed the look and feel of my rifle. The build quality is solid offering great stability. The amount of m-lok slots provides plenty of options for additional accessories. Installation was straightforward and I like how secure and tight everything fits once assembled. Overall, this chassis has enhanced both the functionality and aesthetics of my Ruger 10/22, making it feel like a much more premium rifle. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their Ruger 10/22.

Awesome Upgrade

by JohnnyGearz, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 4, 2025
I bought this for my Thompson Center TCR22 that is built around the Ruger 10/22 but in my opinion a better 10/22 version. I wasn’t sure if the fit would be a problem and only had to grind around the trigger area but was very little and did not show after mounting the assembly together. It makes the rifle look way better if you like the AR platform. I used a Fab Defense stock and grip and made a big difference.

Solid frame with some precautions

by Danger, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on October 3, 2024
Picked this up as part of a 10/22 Charger build. The Midwest Industries all metal chassis looked simple, well thought out, and would bring up the Chargers capabilities to something greater than maybe it's supposed to be. I'm working with an 8 inch Charger so I figured the 8 inch chassis would be a perfect fit. Midway measures the top of the handguard so it's 8 inch handguard is the total length of the top of the handguard that goes clear back to the reciever. This resulted in the handguard being too long by about 1.15 inches. A 10inch 10/22 Charger would've avoided this issue but for me it started the hunt for a blast forwarding device. Midwest Industries advertises the inner diameter of the handguard as 1.29 inches but measuring it myself i couldn't figure out how they came to that conclusion. The actual inner diameter is 1.18inches by my measurements. There's a small shelf/lip at the end of the handguard that measured a 1.27 inches diameter but that shelf/lip is only .19 inches deep which isn't going to do a lot for muzzle device selection. I took Midwest Industries word for it anyways and ordered a KAK Industries 1/2-28 Micro flash can which would've been the perfect mix of size/weight/price/functionality... if it fit. Turns out the KAK Industry flash can is advertised at a very true 1.2inches in diameter and does not clear the Midwest Industries chassis handguard. Going thinner I ended up ordering a CMMG Zeroed linear comp which fit just fine, added some unnecessary perso...

Didn't Fit

by Xavier Long, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on August 10, 2024
I was looking to upgrade my chasis on my BRO-22, a Ruger 10/22 clone, and landed on this one. Unfortunately, upon receiving it and beginning installation, I discovered that the handgaurd wouldn't fit my clone. After some fiddling, I gave up and decided to return the product. Other than that, I was very happy with the quality of the product.
Pros:
  • Solid and well built
  • Quality Hard Coat Anodize
  • Good Machining and Finish
  • Nice Hardware
Cons:
  • Doesn't Fit All Clones
Best Used for:
  • Ruger 10/22 and clones that done have anything protruding past where the barrel seats to the reviever
