This does fit the 590S with iron sights Ghost sites be prepared for a struggle to work the heat shield around the front site. Before attempting to install the heat shield put tape of the mounts on the heat shield to avoid marring the barrel the trick is to force the front mount over the barrel it is tricky got it on the first try. fits really well and looks good

Great product, exactly as described. Despite reviews across multiple retailers stating that this product does not come with hardware or the spacer, I can confirm that my heat shield came with both hardware and spacer.

I’m in the middle of attempting to fit this onto a 590A1, it is certainly possible but plan on making permanent modifications to the head shield, and without care you will scratch your shotguns finish when forcibly installing. #6-32 x 7/8th cap bolt with all metal locking nuts is what was supplied in my kit. Being that my barrel is much thicker, I’ll need longer bolts to bridge the gap as squeezing the tabs as the instructions direct doesn’t allow the holes to get close enough without a sever angle misaligning the hardware holes. I have slotted two holes on one side, will likely be adding steel and re-drilling holes to drop the mounting tabs a bit further towards the magazine tube. Have confirmed there is enough clearance for this between the barrel and magazine tube.

In short, it’s possible, the guy reviewing over on brownells seems to believe this shield can simply bolt onto a thick walled barrel, maybe, but from the work I’ve done thus far, I doubt it.

My mossberg 590 looks amazing with this heat shield. It slipped on with no problem. I now have to look for a flashlight clamp that will work with the heat shield now and it didn’t want to work with my magpul forend without some adjustment.

Great fit and finish. Make sure the weapon is unloaded before installing. I was able to hold bare handed after firing several rounds with little to no discomfort. Go slow on the install and you will be very pleased with this product. My Mossberg 500 SPX looks like a Boss now. Thanks OPTICSPLANET keep doing what y’all do.

Made my 500 look like something. That smooth barrel begs for this heat-shield. The parkerized finish is fantastic looking against my barrels blued finish. For the price, it's a must-have item. And Optic Planet shipping was on point as always.
