This is the best scope you can buy for your Ruger 10/22 build.

Purchased for a recent build on a 22-250. Wanted adjustable optic for extended ground hog control. Focuses well up to 10 power, after which it starts to get fuzzy. Decent scope for the money, time will tell on durability. L-R turret adjustment was very stiff out of box, but hopefully it will smooth out with use.
Cons:
- Tight adjustments
- Fuzzy at higher magnification

Everyone can't afford the big dollar scopes featured in the magazines! So as a working man you look to get the best piece of equipment your money can buy! Meuller APV delivers the the "high end" experience on a budget! From .22 long rifle to .3006 I have had ZERO failures and great performance from Meuller APV rifle scopes. Follow the instructions and enjoy high performance at low cost. Give Meuller a try! You won't regret it!
Cons:
- Eye relief must be exact. Not really a problem if you set your rifle up correctly.
Best Used for:
- Varmint/ predator hunting.

I was kind of pleased with the scope after my initial purchase. It looked great and shot fairly well. I put it on a .17 WSM Bmag. I upgraded the rifle with a new stock, trigger, scope mount etc. At the start up it shot 1.5 MOA. Not what I wanted but reasonable. It did ok on prairie dogs, but for the life of me it was inconsistent.
I purchased this scope last summer and fast forward to January in Utah. I took it to the range to check zero and was surprised to get a 2 inch group... I just cleaned the gun and was not expecting that. After 3 or 4 more groups I started getting some really wild flyers. I bagged the gun for the day. I went to the indoor range to try to figure out the problem. First I put the gun on a lead sledgehammer. I got 7 rounds in a .20 inch group at 50 yards, all shots were touching.
Weird right? So LOOKING through the scope while in a lead sled again I noticed the crosshair shifting with each shot. Never going to fear out of zero, but enough to explain all those flyers. I tried shooting from the bench again, offhand, with the same results. The group opened up to .5 or so with an odd flyer.
I repeated the process enough to determine the scope was not holding zero. I determined it was more due to the cold weather then anything else. As when the gun was warm it was less "shifty" and as it got colder it was more "shifty".
I won't waste my time sending the scope back. It was less then 6 months old. I am not going to go through customer ca...

Definitely the best scope I’ve purchased especially at this price point of $130. Highly recommend to anyone that is on the market for a quality and durable optic at a great price! Best bang for your buck!!!!

I bought this to go on a heavyweight 10/22 build. It's every bit as good as the other reviewers have said. It's not a Leupold VX-3 or a Nikon Monarch, but it's a very functional piece of gear at a small fraction of the cost. It is far above everything I've seen anywhere it's price, and better than most at twice the price. I'm considering one for a .22-250 varmint rifle, where a 3-9 isn't quite enough. Try one out!
Pros:
- Clairty, Quality, Warranty and Price
Best Used for:
- Plinking & target shooting
- varminting

I just started using this scope on my 10/22 bench build and I am really impressed. After having read dozens of reviews, I decided to try out this Mueller scope for my build since the price was reasonable and I was looking for a silver colored scope to match my stainless 10/22. Using a one piece medium height scope mount, this scope fit perfectly and actually looks really cool. As for the optics; the clarity is very impressive given the low price. I would say it is comparable to my Ziess or my Leopolds. The adjustments are easy and fairly straightforward. It didn't long to zero and set this scope. Setting the reticle was quick and easy. My only complaint would be that Mueller does not offer this scope with different reticles. I would have liked to have had a BDC type reticle or Mil-plex for this build, but scopes with those reticles were considerably more expensive than this scope. So, aside from the reticle, this is a really great scope for the price.
Cons:
- limited choice of recticle

I have put this scope on a lot of rifles.I have be customizing 10/22's lately. I just finished one last week and installed the 4.5-14x40 AO. The man is very happy with it. I just bought another one in silver and it is going on a 10/22. I have a man who I customized a 22-250 and I used the Mueller scope on it, now he wants one for his 243 for his wife. I believe why these scopes are getting popular is because of the price and you can get a sun shade for it and have other options and the scope is very clear at all power ranges. Just be careful as to not over tighten the scope rings, just use the manufacturers recommendations. I like buying from Optics Planet, it seems like they have the best price, fast shipping, and they stand behind what they sell never had a problem not receiving, or shipping.
Pros:
- shockproof,waterproof and fog proof
- easy turret adjustments
- clear glass at all power range
Best Used for:
- target shooting or hunting

I have been customizing rifles for a long time, here lately a lot of my clients want 10/22 so they can share with their kids and grand kids. They don't need an expensive Leupold or a Vortex Viper, but they want a decent scope but they want it to look good on the rifle. The Mueller 4.5x14x40 AO is the perfect ticket, you can put a sun shade on it and you get a look that you want, it can really set a rifle off. It has good glass and stays on zero. I have more people calling me and asking what scope that is especially after watching someone shoot at the range. For the price I think anyone would be happy with this scope, some of my hunters who bought the 22 are saying they like it so well that they want one for their 270. They say for the price they don't feel guilty taken their rifle out in bad weather like they do if they have their Leupold. I say what ever makes them happy.
Pros:
- Price
- clear glass
- easy to use
Best Used for:
- target shooting or hunting

I first got this scope to put on my Ruger 10/22, and that's where it will end up though that's not where it's at now. I bought a very nice Savage 6.5 Creedmoor with an itch to shoot long distance with it. Well I have one of the New Vortex Gen 2 5-25 Viper PST's on order and just found out it's not coming for 5 more months and it's doing a better than good job on top of that launching pad 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm trying to decide whether to wait on the Viper or not, but the Mueller is doing a great job. I love the detail of the AO. I got the scope to put on a 22 to kill chipmunks that have infested my yard and the ability to adjust the parallax so specifically at very short as well as very kind distance is great with this scope. I highly recommend especially for the $. I usually buy expensive FFP scopes, but I like this one for its purpose!
