Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent scope
With nikons spoton program and the bdc reticle, you can easily take targets very accurately as long as you can determine proper distance. The glass and finish on this scope are gorgeous. Works fantastic on both my .30-06 and .300 win mag xbolts. Pros: Super clear glass and easy to operate. Cons: could be cheaper

perfect fit for my Winchester 70 XTR - can't miss. 500 yard shots - no problem. Nikon is my go to scope of choice with all my rifles. Excellent choice for anyone looking to stay below the $500 dollar level.
Pros:
  • Optics Clarity, BDC Reticle and Price
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Anything!

Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 riflescope

by Gary M, from MO, United States Written on March 14, 2015
This scope is bright and clear! The eye relief is longer than most scopes, making mounting easy on my custom AR. Adjustments are exact with no slop. Once set, it hasn't moved from zero after more than 100 rounds. I am very pleased with this scope and would buy another.

Great Scope!

by Catfish454, from VA, United States Written on February 20, 2015
This is my fifth Nikon Monarch scope and I couldn't be happier with the performance, quality, clarity and construction. Nice matte finish perfectly compliments the Tikka T-3 I mounted it on. I own several "high end" scopes (Swarovski, Zeiss, Kahles), and I could argue that their optics are bit better in low light situations, but they cost 2-3 times as much! This scope is a bargain.

Monarch 3 BDC

by D-Mac, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on December 9, 2014
Outstanding product for the money spent! I had great timing on this scope being on sale when I was in search of one to mount on my Remington 700 stainless. I had heard many great things about Nikon scopes and the more I researched them, the more I began to understand what everyone was talking about. Very pleased with the results!

Great optics at a great price

by Tim, from MO, United States Written on October 6, 2014
Scope has great optics and nice fit and finish. This has the BDC reticle which is very useful depending on how you plan to use the scope. This is the second Nikon scope I own. Nikon Spot On program works well with scopes. Hard to find a better scope in this price range.

Nikon Monarch 3 Riflescope w/BDC Reticle

by Joe, from NH, United States Written on September 20, 2014
This is my second Nikon w/BDC reticle. I've owned a variety of scopes over the years and have conducted extensive research recently to select the Nikon product. Simply, there are no better quality/price combinations out there, in my opinion. Glass quality, low light performance, ruggedness and the BDC reticle with Spoton technology. I'm not the guy who likes to spend more on optics than I shell out for the rifle and Nikon fills this niche for me. I have a Nikon Bushmaster and 2 Redfields, which are great scopes….but my Monarch goes on my dangerous game gun…and it has to work when I need it.
Would give it a five if Nikon put the quick adj turrets on the scope, rather than making them a special order item.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Ruggedness
  • eye relief
  • Glass clarity
  • low light performance
Cons:
  • extra for turrets

Second Nikon scope

by Moz, from Qld, Australia Written on August 30, 2014
Great scope at a fair price, I haven't used this one yet but I got it because I am very happy with the other one which I have had for several years. I particularly like the range of magnification 2.5X makes it easy and quick to sight on feral pigs on the move, and if needed for longer shots 10X does the job nicely.
Pros:
  • Clear optics
Cons:
  • None.

Best scope i have ever purchased

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on July 3, 2013
the product is great. probably the best scope I have ever purchased. I have Leopolds in the past, but I am very happy with the Nikon. This is definitely the best scope you can get for the price. I use it on my 30O6 and group at a 100 yards with amazing precision.
Pros: great light allowance, excellent glass
Cons: nothing
