Super Bright Very Compact

by CSAND48, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on October 1, 2020
I bought this light to go hog hunting. The light is extremely bright and as bright as any flashlight I’ve owned. Plus it’s small enough to clip on your hat. Makes everything in front of you look like daylight.
Pros:
  • bright
  • Small
  • clips on hat
Cons:
  • Proprietary charger
Best Used for:
  • hunting at night

Perfect EDC

by Klotz, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 6, 2020
This light is very compact. I work at a prison on night shift and it survived a 12 hour shift without having to charge it. I feel like it's way brighter then 1000 lumens. Blinding potential is pretty high even at maybe 30 to 50 yards. Use a retractable lanyard!!!
Pros:
  • compact
  • easy to use
  • Brighness
Cons:
  • easy to lose
Best Used for:
  • Outdoors
  • Tactical
Would recommend: Yes

Love this little light! It is super bright, built solidly, charges fast and lasts a good anouhtbifv

Love this little light! It is super bright, built solidly, charges fast and lasts a good amount of time off one charge. The base is magnetic so it’ll stick to any ferrous metal which comes in handy. This also fits in my CAA MCK (make sure it fits your version) which is my favorite platform to use with my Glock.
Pros:
  • Compact, lightweight, versatile
Cons:
  • I wish the on button was positioned differently
Best Used for:
  • EDC

WOW! Where were these when I was in Scouts?

by Kevin, from IA, United States Written on July 14, 2019
Who rembers taking a Maglight that took 3-4 D batteries on camping trips? Big, heavy, bulbs burned out, really wasn't all that bright when it was said and done.

It's about the size of a shotgun shell. 3 brightness settings and a strobe mode. Double tap for max brightness. Triple tap for strobe. The on button will indicate charge with the stock rechargeable battery. It can work with CR123 if the provided battery runs out of charge. The CR123 does not work with the battery life indicator. It requires a special CR123 if you want to charge them. Olight's rechargeable battery isn't expensive. Battery life seems reasonable so far.

The base plate is magnetic and can stick to conducting metal surfaces for hands free operation. This plate is also how it charges. This method should almost certainly hold up better than USB or micro USB chargers, which are flimsy. The clip can attach in either direction and will function as a head lamp on a baseball cap.

It can easily fit in a pocket or small pouch. I'd recommend a lanyard or EDC pouch for pocket carry. It's small enough that it could easily be lost if dropped. A lanyard is provided. Blue or red might have been a better stock color if it falls on a car seat/floor. Copper and titanium is available at an increased price. Bling, but not necessarily added function. I could see using a larger version for camping, but this would be just fine as long as I don't require the longer battery life. Even then, I could bring an extra CR123 or two.
Pros:
  • Rechargable
  • magnetic
  • Compact & light
  • Compact and Bright
Cons:
  • Too Small
Best Used for:
  • Every Day Carry
  • camping
  • EDC

Well designed sturdy pocket-sized EDC light

by Aflevine, from LA, United States Written on January 11, 2019
This is my second S1R II Baton. Switch works perfectly so that you're not fumbling to get the desired throw. Clip works great on a hat on in pocket. While this light can be used tactically, this light is more general with tactical application. I have a Warrior X for my tactical light. Only downside to this light is that it can get lost too darn easily in a rental car with black interior.
Pros:
  • durable
  • Switch function
  • Power to size
  • Ease of recharge
Cons:
  • Easily lost
Best Used for:
  • EDC
  • Bug out and field use

An amazing light .

by John Bicknell, from LA, United States Written on December 13, 2018
Their lights are amazing. So much light out of something so small. I also have one of their pistol rail 400 lumen lights which is rechargeable too. Great products. The little flashlight doesn't weigh much so it can be easily clipped onto ones cap to free up your hands while working at night. I often use all of the different settings. The brightest output comes on with a double click. No matter the setting when you turn it off it returns to that same setting when clicked back on. When on just hold the switch down to cycle through all of the options.
