I was looking for something I could use on the range or when hiking in snake country so I wouldn't be fumbling for mags and such. This fits the bill nicely. Lightweight, comfortable - pretty easy to adjust. Should have got the tan one as we have a lot of sun and the black is a little warm...

Great Tactical vest. 1 size fits all. Easy to adjust. Good snug fit. Plenty of ammo/magazine pockets. Lots of room in the back for pack or water carriers. Great sale price. Almost 40.00 off the Black. Very lite,

Bought this vest in 06 while was active duty Marines wore this in Iraq. There are some differences like all the mesh, original had leather shooters pad. The construction is BlackHawk very well made. Great vest overall would recommend all day long.

This is the most comfortable vest I have ever worn. The six pockets for your magazines can carry a whole lot go gear. I'm 6' tall, and I have the shoulder straps as tight as they go; yet the vest still has a little more length than I want. However, I don't have any belly. so keep that in mind. The sides have three adjustment belts on each side. The straps are very long, and I still haven't decided how to take care of the excess length. I like the idea of the recoil pad built into the vest, but I wish it wasn't on both sides. It steals some nice real estate for another pouch. The back is molle which is great for carrying things you may not need immediately. I'm surprised no one mentioned that this vest is darn nice looking. It's a very smart looking piece of tactical gear. On the inside there are two large zippered mesh pockets, to carry light weight objects, or maps. Even a cell phone could be placed with no problem. The mesh lining keeps you cool as possible. I should mention that the vest does not come with a belt, but it has all the loops you need to use your own. The trend in armor is to go with smaller plates. The large plates weigh you down, and you lose agility and speed on your feet. That being said, this vest will easily accommodate an armor carrying vest for front, rear, and side body armor. You simply readjust the straps so you can wear it over your armor vest. I looked at every vest I could possibly find. This vest, for my purposes, is the best value anywhere. It...

This appears a good vest for shooting and hunting. I plan to use it for the range and maybe hog hunting. Probably more than I need, but it may serve as double duty for any combat range shooting work I do.
Pros: Great quality, adequate mag pouches, ability to add more pouches or gear
Cons: Vest may not fit as tight during runs as a harness

I'm a decent sized guy (6'2", 200lbs) and I couldn't sinch the shoulder adjustments down tight enough for the vest to help bear the load of a heavy belt. Designed to fit over armor? If not, they have some really big guys over at Blackhawk. Otherwise, the vest is pretty much flawless.
Pros: Quality, well thought out design.
Cons: Very large.
