I've had the 16" 458 for roughly 8 years now. I've puts 100s of 300gr and 325gr bullets through it. It did have a break in period of about 25 rounds but after that everything ran smooth. This upper is a blast, if you take the time to make it run.

Not recomended
Bought this upper in November and just tried it out.... Bolt jams every other round, rod down the barrel to remove the case.... Some shells won't load.... Very disappointed and to late to return....wasted 500.00 dollars
POS Same problems as others.
Discovered that it is not spec'd correctly. Jams most every time and exceedingly hard to remove some cases. Waited too late to shoot it, so too late to return. Optics Planet should not carry not carry products with obvious flaws.

Absolutely lousy Quality Control
To begin with, the BCG that came with my upper was so sloppily put together, it absolutely had to been made overseas! I was able to remove the gas key very easily, despite the staking. Like the other reviewer, it's too late for a refund. I might be able to salvage the upper receiver on its own. The barrel's feed ramps are a joke. I might be able to have a professional properly smooth them out, but I shouldn't have to do that.
