I am very happy with this Rise trigger. It was easy to install and works exactly as advertised. Nice fit and finish. It doesn't look or feel cheap. I plan a drop in on my next build. I'll be buying a Rise, for sure.

Would not even drop the hammer. I know I get it, many reviews we are left with the thought, man maybe he just didn't know what he was doing? This is not my first build. I am an engineer, a machinist and I paid my dues for seven years in industrial maintenance. This trigger just was not machined correct. The detent in the hammer was so stiff I almost couldn't get a taper pin through it. Still, it marred the anti-walk pin I was trying to put in rendering it useless. I have bought 7 other drop in Rise triggers and liked them well, especially at a good price point. I believed in them well enough I didn't read the reviews, that's on me. Don't let it happen to you.
Cons:
- Didn't function, returned

I took and chance and bought this despite all the negative reviews about it being gritty. The first stage was initially gritty, while the break and reset are nice and crisp. After a couple magazines through the rifle, the grit completely went away, just needed a little break-in, some "self polishing" lol. For $79 it now feels like a $200 2-stage trigger. Very happy with it.
Pros:
- High quality, light & crisp (after break-in)

Wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing. They're spot on about it being gritty and grinding all the way through the 10 miles of travel you have to endure to use this thing. It's objectively worse than a mil spec trigger

This is the worst trigger I have ever felt. It is worse than mil-spec triggers by far. It is roughly machined, completely un-polished, and the timing of the second stage engagement is horrible. At best this is a 3 stage trigger. The second stage of spring pressure has just as much travel as the first stage before it eventually stacks and breaks. A mil-spec trigger is smoother and shorter than even the second stage of this trigger alone. It was complete sandpaper grit through all of the excessive travel, as the visible machine marks are obviously a huge problem. Even after polishing the engagement surfaces it is horrible. Although now smooth it is two VERY long stages, certainly not a wall at the second stage. Even after polishing the weight is exactly a 5 pound pull, the same as the far crisper trigger it replaced. The only impressive thing about it is very short over travel. It stops moving the instant it breaks. This is of course a useless upside compared to the massive downside of being a grity 3 stage trigger.

I replaced a milspec trigger. This 2 stage trigger is way better. Much smoother and a far better glass break if you will. I didn't measure weight but it was much less. The install took about 20 minutes. I'm not a pro. I forgot to keep the trigger spring legs on top of hammer pins. The legs fall into the grooves of the hammer pins to stop walkout. From left side of rifle, groves on pins, go in last.At least on mine.

Just installed. A little gritty initially. Clean break and decent reset. It’s no geissele two stage but for the price, I’d say it worth it. It’s not great but it is good
