Good for Increasing the Overall Length of AR Pistols When Needed
I bought this for my 10.5" .300 Blackout AR pistol and overall I'm very pleased with it. Here are some details I was looking for but unable to find prior to getting it in hand. It is approximately 2" longer than a standard buffer tube. When installed it measures 8⅝" from the rear of the lower receiver to the end of the buffer tube, and measures 8⅛" from the castle nut to the end of the tube. It measures 6⅜" from the back end to the shoulder. My SB Tactical SBM4 brace hangs about ⅞" off the back of the tube when slid over the tube right up to the shoulder. Great Pistol buffer tube for taller shooters.
Gives more length than standard Pistol buffer tubes. Which being 6'4" helps a bit. Well built, well weighted with step at end. QD connector comes in more handy than I imagined with a Tailhook Mod1 Brace on it. Manufacture says 1.25" diameter but the only place I get that is stepped area behind threads to stop foam padding if used. Otherwise its 1.2" and Tailhook fit perfectly. SB-Mini also fits well, but doesn't stay put like Tailhook without other means (epoxy, screw detent, etc). Plus SB-Mini adds 1.5 inches to length if worried about ATF scoring chart. 12" Pull length to Trigger Center from end of tube with no brace or tailhook.

Absolute Must for tall shooters
This went on my 12.5" AR Pistol, makes for a much better shoulder feel with the sight picture in line. I was cheating with a stopper inside the SB SOB to make it stick further back, and since I got this I can ditch the extra weight.

Great for increasing length
I used this to increase the length of my dude folding lower with a tail hook mod 1 and it works perfectly. Don't issue I had was none of my QD swivels would fit. I contacted Spikes and they sent me one free of charge and it works as it should. I ended up buying another for another AR pistol I have.

good price, nice well made buffer tube
This spikes tactical buffer tube is very simple and well made, optics planet has them at great prices. Well worth it, I really like how its an extended buffer tube works well for my 300 aac 8.5 inch pistol and im using the trinity force Breach Brace 1.0 goes on flawlessly. Will definitely buy more of these for my future pistol builds. Thanks optics planet for another awesome (**super fast shipping**) order.

Heavy Duty
I bought this extended AR pistol buffer tube in case there was some sort of ban on braces that have a buffer tube that accepts a stock and having the extra length would be beneficial for other purposes. I also really liked the QD attachment on the end figuring I might be able to do something with that, but I couldn't get any of the QD swivels I have to work including Troy, Magpul, and a cheap unknown manufacturer. Other than that the quality is topnotch with great threads, weight, and finish. Would have been 5 stars of it came with a QD Sling that works.

- If you need a longer AR pistol buffer tube that doesn't accept a stock.

Long and hard
Sturdy, nice construction. Good milspec fit for gearheadworks tailhook mod 1. Longer than standard pistol buffer tube. Anodizing is clean, flawless. Threads are good. Bought three; Would buy again and again and again..............

Snug fit with SBM4
I bought this to use with a SBM4 i had laying around. Yes I know the SBA4 is far superior but this pistol tube added some extra pull to the brace. Im a smaller guy but still prefer about 2-3" of space between the backside of the reciever and the front of the brace. This collar worked perfect for spacing. And the sbm4 was very snug. Not to mention spikes tactical has phenomenal products. I have their buffer spring and st-t3 buffer weight inside. Pew pew
