Most Helpful Negative Review These binoculars are vulnrable to water intrusion!
I purchased the predator extremes, which were supposed to be waterproof, and they had water intrusion after the first boat ride. Steiner optics sent me a replacement. Not the extremes, since they were discontinued, and the same thing happened. I would not recommend these at all. Especially since you can get something way better for the price. Really disappointed.

Clear and compact

by Jack, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 12, 2025
Steiner has always had good products. The glass in these small and compact binos is very clear. Fit and finish of the binoculars is nice, the armored coating has a good texture and fits the hand well. Controls are in the right spot for my hands, easy to manipulate. The barrels hold their position well. Just a really, really nice pair of compact binoculars for a quick 'go to' when needing to see at a distance.

Very convenient

I recently purchased a good variety of different binoculars and compact binoculars. These are some of the all-around best. Say that because they have good glass Clarity and the 26 mm in diameter does not put as much strain on your eyes as some of the smaller ones do when looking for longer periods of time, but they're also a very Compact and easily fit in a pocket. Shut up was down to purpose I guess I have some that the glass is a little better I have some that are a little smaller but this checks all the boxes.

Worse than $40 amazon binoculars they were supposed to replace

by Scott, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on July 21, 2025
Small viewing holes, weird hinging between the eyepieces, and annoying rubber eye sheild makes it hard to even complete step 1 of getting a circular image. The image isn't that clear once adjusted, has distortion around the edges, and the field of view is lower than the other 10x binoculars. Optics planet using the summer sale to offload bad products. FYI you also have to pay to return if you don't go for store credit.

Great pair of binoculars

by Joe, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 1, 2025
I was very skeptical when I saw the price of these binoculars. Steiner is a premium brand and command a high price. After doing some research I found these have been discontinued and that's the reason they are under $100. They are well worth the money.
Pros:
  • Light weight & durable
Cons:
  • No objective lens cover
Best Used for:
  • Hunting and backpacking

Good pair of compact Binoculars

by Patrick, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on November 21, 2024
I had an older version of these & seemed to have lost them (at least temporarily) so I ordered another. These are even better than last pair! They are also better than the old pair of Zeiss Conquest I had (lost in woods). Only think I miss is the objective lens cover but I still have that from old pair.
Pros:
  • light
  • Bright for Size
  • clear & bright image
Cons:
  • No objective lens cover
Best Used for:
  • woods hunting
  • Bird watching and nature viewing
