I was hesitant to spent this much on binoculars but after a lot of research I decided Steiner was the best choice. These binoculars are quite compact and not extremely heavy. They have a clear wide field of view and the 10x42 magnification is exceptional for my needs. I live on 60 acres, partially wooded and have a bit of a problem with Coyotes. I'm able to spot them prior to putting the rifle optics on them to ruin their evening.

This is my second pair, my first were for me, my son in law liked them so much these were for him, he realy likes em, great valu for the money, clarity is outstanding, lite weight compact, mine have 3 years on them, no complaints, still working great even after beating them up in training.

What a deal! These are simply the best I have ever used. Great clarity, nice covers for both ends, the diopter adjustment is just hard enough to not get moved accidentally ( such as by grandkids!). The rubber eye side shield folds down if you don’t like it. Neck strap clips on and off easily. High quality overall.

I looked at several different pairs of binoculars in the 10x42 category. I finally decided to go with these Steiners. Turned out to be an excellent choice. I love everything about them but most of all the amount of light they collect and clarity in low light situations. Would definitely recommend

I had purchased the Steiner S35 from Optics Planet (fantastic deal at nearly half off) and really liked the build and performance so when I was upgrading my binos I looked at these Steiners. Excellent quality and such a surprising improvement over my Bushnells. Just fit in my Mystery Ranch 10x bino harness (integrated into my Marshall pack).

It came very fast via UPS/USPS ...It seems very good like I said , I will use it when I hike or at the range . It was very rubber smelly . It has a good and clear view . I like the size and how all works when I set it for my eyes-nice picture . There is NO made in Germany to be seen on the box or bino . I have doubts that it was made as all are made mostly- China , other wise with be a clear specific note -made in Germany , it is not .
I am a bit worry about lasting in time about all those attached caps covers and eye sides wings by oculars .Time will tell . Hope the warranty is like they advertise it .
Also the bag , covers , strap -hope will hold well and not brake in time , all these seems very common China made ..it is what it is .
Again I hope in time will not have issues with this item or its accessories .
In the end : Price ...yes kinda overpriced , again it is what it is .
I hope in time for minor usage will last without issues or warranty needed , I shall see ......

I bought these to replace a pair of binoculars that were “borrowed” from me. I decided since I was going to have to buy some new glass, I would step it up a bit. After quite a bit of research I decided to go with the Steiner 10x42’s. Glad I did! They are light weight and crystal clear. If you need a great pair of binoculars, you cannot go wrong with Steiner! In my opinion they are worth every penny, plus OpticsPlanet generally beats everyone else’s price.

I am very impressed with these binos. The glass clarity, and build quality are superb and Steiner products are extremely high quality. These have performed great and collect a lot of light as the sun goes down. I’d highly recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality set of binos that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.

I bought these about 3 weeks ago and I am very happy I did! The built quality is excellent. After fine tuning the eye relief and diopter/focus setting to my eyes; the optics are bright and clear over the entire field of view. Image quality is exceptional. I tested them in low light conditions where I could not see objects within 100 yards, these binoculars made it possible to see and identify those objects, just amazing! The focusing ring is smooth and fast with perfect clarity. The depth of view is also exceptional. They are very comfortable in the hands. These T1042 binoculars perform exactly as described and what I was expecting from Steiner.

These binoculars are great. The magnification is excellent and the picture is extremely clear. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking to purchase a set of tactical binoculars. They will not be disappointed.
