Too long for a short action.
Not sure why but mount is too long for my 700 PSS. Package says 700 S/A but there is no way the product in the package is correct. Perhaps its a long action mount in short action packaging. Either way it was the first and last purchase from sun optics.

- Made a rig to level scopes in the rings off the rifle out of it

Does not fit!
I'll cut straight to the chase...this simply doesn't fit a Remington 700 short action. No other way to put it. Not sure if Sun Optics mislabeled a long mount or what, but it is useless for the short action. This was my first purchase of Sun Optics USA products, and it will be the last.
