great light
This is an amazing flashlight. I bought the red filter, which is great for maintaining night vision. The TIR lens doesn't provide alot of diffusion, but the beam is like a spotlight and lights-up surrounding areas well. Very easy to operate and switch output modes.

Typical SureFire, Great Light!
I have 2 of these (and 4 other SureFire weapons lights) and they are all great. I love the high and low beam setup. Low is plenty bright and lasts a long time. High is very bright for when you just need that extra brightness. Love the tactical push-button switch on the back, especially when using a handgun. One switch (momentary push button)operates both settings with added pressure, and twisting the back will switch both modes on without having to push the push-button. Solid feel, quality construction!

A great little light!
I have had my LX2 for a while now and with the addition of a diffuser, it does everything you could want it to. It has a long running low and a really far reaching high (thanks to the TIR lens.) With the diffuser, the narrow beam becomes a really nice floody beam which is nice for close up lighting. The only drawback is that the tactical interface requires quite a few twists to have the light stay on, and if you try to lock it out at the tail, it is so loose that the tailcap can fall off.

in the world of illumination, surefire is second to none, and their products reflect upon that. this light is rugged, compact and just plain quality. i carry it everyday and have never had it fail, and dont expect it to. its been dropped, banged up, wet and keeps on shinin. its what i expect from surefire.

A combat must !
Great for EDC or duty carry. A must for true moving and shooting due to the "tactically correct" two stage momentary only tailcap.

excellent light
Love this light. Have owned it for a few years now, and still impressed every time I use it. I lived in an area with mature oak trees, and you can light up the tops of the trees with this flashlight.

Lumamax LX2
Surfire LX2 is an excellent product. Its expensive but worth every cent. Well made and Optics Planet offers the best price and on-time delivery. I will continue to buy Surefire products and look on the Optics Planet site first for the best pricing.

works like a charm
I'm currently on a deployment in Iraq, the army doesn't issue out flashlights regularly and this one has been a life saver many times at night.
