Solide plug with foam...it's my preference
After using almost the entire surefire sonic defender line for three years, I finally think I can make an honest review.
Now granted, ear plug comfort varies from person to person, and is all about the individual. It's like buying gloves or shoes, but more important since you might cause your ear to be sore or poke your ear drum. Worse if you don't wear them properly because of a bad fit, then they do nothing to protect you.
Just as a personal preference I like using the "solid slug" or solid core plugs like the EP 5 or EP 10. I find it easier to clean and I prefer having more ear protection...

Great Product. Good Price. Worked Exactly As Advertised.
My first use of these ended up not being the range, but rather Monster Jam. The foam compresses easily to fit into your ears, then decompresses well to seal the ear canal. They did a great job blocking out the engine noise from the Monster Trucks, which was easily as loud as many firearms. No Complaints.

Great Product. Worked Exactly As Advertised.
These size Small EP10 Sonic Defenders were purchased for my wife. The first use was not for the range, but rather Monster Jam. She has small ear canals, but these worked well. She said the did a great job blocking out the monster truck engine noise.

overly hyped junk
Flimsy overly hyped junk. Cushion pads don't stay put. Uncomfortable. Poor fit. went straight to the trash can. didn't even use it at the range. not even worth my time to refund it. What a rip off

Comfortable
Wore ear plugs for the most of the day bear hunting. The fit is good once they mold with your ear.No soreness and they stayed in place with lots of movement,hat with ear flaps and shooting glasses. Once you get used to the way to put them in they are easy to use.Was cold coming in tonight didn't seem to effect them. Nice carrying case.
