Great alternative to LAW
Assuming both are not on sale, the Sylvan Arms Gen3 folding adapter is a great alternative to the LAW folder if you're looking to save a few bucks. I only knocked it down one star because I wish the folding tolerances were a little tighter and the finish were slightly more durable. Other than that it is great. I would purchase again.

Sylvan Arms AR15/AR9 Gen3 Folding Stock Adapter
I have purchased probably 5 of these over the last few years for some builds of mine, and I find them well made, sturdy and very functional. They are about half the price of a Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter and the designs are similar. I only recently had a issue with the buffer retaining pin, the post bent and when I tried to straighten it, it snapped off. Went to the Sylvan Arms website and found replacement pin kits for their GEN 3 folding stock adapters. Must be the part that is prone to break, but the kits are only $5 bucks and they contain 2 pins, a pin spring and the set screw. I still rate the product 5 stars and I'm interested in the GEN 4 model, but I'm not sure if the QD capability and other newer features are worth the extra cost. Still highly recommend this GEN 3 folding adapter.

Folding Stock Adapter
I've used this FSA many times. I really like it. You can take it apart and make fine adjustments to fit your buffer tube and lower perfectly as well as clean it. Of course, it locks in the open and folded positions unlike some higher priced options.

Bad Design
Easy installation and that was the only good thing about it. Installed this on a 300acc and it only lasted about 10 rounds before the retaining pin for the buffer and spring broke. The lodged in gun and locked it up. I returned it for a refund.

PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOUR CURRENT GUN DOES NOT HAVE A CASTLE NUT YOU WILL NEED TO BUY ONE FOR THIS
went to put my sylvan arms folding adapter on my 9mm ar and everything was going smooth until i needed a castle nut to tighten the stock to the folder. now i have to wait a month to get a castle nut because of christmas. This product relies on YOU having a castle nut on your current setup. dont make my mistake.

SA Gen3 Folder!
Great quality and reasonably priced folder. Installation was a breeze and very very simple. Literally on thing that you need is an armors wrench and patience. I will be purchasing again. Thank you optics planet!

Good product
Good adapter. Not super tight but but very good especially for $100 below its competitors. Timely shipping as well. Overall very pleased. I haven’t had the opportunity to use competition, but could imagine them being much better.
