I have no clue why this is labeled as a deployable sight. It is indeed a fixed sight. No folding. I returned the sight and bought the folding sight. I just got back from the range. It took some time to get used to this sight. Once I did I found my groups shrinking compared to a normal round aperture. It's paired with the Magpul MBUS Pro front sight and works great. There was only a two click elevation adjustment. Overall this is a well made and effective sight and is very accurate.
Best Used for:
- Back up and primary iron sights

Awesome sight, much quicker target acquisition than standard prep sight. These are built tough with quality materials. Light weight and come with easy to understand instructions made a quick and simple to install and zero.
Pros:
- easy target acquisition
- built tough

I saw this rear sight, saw it was from Troy and then I saw the price. For the price, I dont think theres a better rear sight option. The machining is nice, the fit is nice, it indexes onto the picatiny rail the way iron sights should it lines up with a FSB perfectly. I would recommend, the only thing I can say negatively about it is its rather large and heavy compared to the competition and it doesnt fold down.
Cons:
- Size, weight, doesnt fold

Paired this with troys HK front sight and put them on a budget AR10 I planned to mess around with then sell, but those two sights together were great. Messed with mechanical zero a bit and then I was getting great results ringing steel offhand at 100.

I paired this sight with the OY-IRN-DOABATTLEFIX-SSIG-FBS-RDBT-00 which is the Troy Front fixed battle sight as a back up to the red dot. They are not intrusive, scoping is still clean and the are super easy to adjust. Very well built, very solid, and the mount up easily. Although it would be nice if Troy sent instructions on lb-in measurements with them, bc they don’t. Other than that, these are an awesome buy!

awesome sight and can't really say much more about it. co witnesses perfectly with my aimpoint PRO and A2 front sight, durable, fit and finish are what you expect from Troy. A++++ if you're going to build an AR you could do a lot worse than this rear sight.

I like this sight because it’s fixed without all the unneeded moving parts that you get from a flip-up sight. This sight matched up to the Troy front sight is great. The sight picture is awesome, you can’t ask for much more.

First off, every single Troy Ind product I own is a solid built, functional piece. This Diopter Rear sight is no different. Adjusts with precision, it's built like a tank, and fits very secure on my rail. I do like the largr 0-200yd sight aperture with the diopter markings, but if I'm 100% honest I have to say the 300-600yd aperture is too dark for me and lacks any real functionality. I'm fairness, it is installed on a 10.5 inch AR pistol which cuts down the sight radius enough to make it unusable, so it isn't the products fault.
Pros:
- durable
- Accurate
- practical
- fits
- Strong
Best Used for:
- 16 to 20 inch AR 15, AR 15 pistol

Installation is good. These mount up and zero easily. Fit and finish is very good. They are lightweight, being made out of aluminum. But by being aluminum, they are easily damaged. A garage drop bent the ear of the rear fixed sight inwards significantly, while the rifle showed no other damage. Was able to bend back, but makes me rethink fixed over folding, and metal over polymer again. A higher grade aluminum would be preferred.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- good color
- nice aperture
