These were visibly used when I opened the box. That was problem # 1. But more specific to the sights themselves, they were very poor quality. Way too much "wiggle" and forward -backward "play" in both the front and rear sights. I sent them off to Troy Industries directly.
Cons:
- Poorly made
- Visibly used/marred

I first bought the sights it’s about two years ago my bad for finally just getting around to use them. After taking them to the range and shooting them I’m shooting. Hi shooting hi shooting. Hi I have the front sight Post raised so high that is completely out of the front sight . Huh??? Troy??? I came home got on OpticsPlanet and read some reviews other people have had this issue as well I use somebody’s review and put the sights it’s right next to one another the front site is too low. The front sight is too high for a set of micros own those also . OK, maybe there was a batch of issue. Call Troy. They sent me a replacement set guess what two years later same problem. Went over measurements took pictures. Had them send me an M4 style instead of an HK style guess what same issue . Unless your front sight block is raised, which in most cases lower, which would make the front sight higher this won’t work . To all you guys to give this five star review I don’t know what kind of gun you’re shooting but I don’t believe it’s on the same plane, gas block and rail or maybe I’m just really missing something here compared to all my other sights they’re pretty much the same height as top of sight, post lands in middle of ghost ring I really hope somebody can explain because I’m confused just bought a standard without the trim, hoping it lines up and planning to steal the post good luck to all of you purchasing the sights

I believe its a Trijicon raised suppressor sight attached to the troy front sight. Didn't see anywhere on the box but looks exactly like Trijicon least to me. Love it. Wished there was one for the rear as well.

This sight went on my MK18 that I use on Patrol *(I am a Deputy Sheriff)*
The reason I went with Troy is because of their reputation for quality and reliability. I was disappointed with this product immediately. The finish was worn on one side of the sight. After mounting this sight, coupled with a Troy rear sight, I went to sight it in at the range and discovered that getting an accurate sight was impossible. Once the post was raised to the proper level, it was lose. Since this is on a rifle I need for work, this was unacceptable and I returned to Magpul for my sights.
I have not contacted Troy for a replacement. I doubt they would want to hear from me. I ordered this over a year ago and I will be throwing it away.

Bought these sights for a build. Finally took them out of the package and put them on to find this.... as expensive as these sights are and the fact that this is my 4th set of Troy sights.... this is not acceptable.

There is excessive ‘play’ (1/8”) when the forward battle site is deployed to the upright position. For the price of the sight, I expected a sight that wasn’t previously used, and had tighter (no wiggle) locking position. I was had to buy a 2nd folding fwd battle sight before Opticsplanet would send me return documentation for the 1st used / defective sight.

Tried these on two rifles and had to raise the front post so high that the ring in ring sight picture had to be ignored. The front guard ring had to be held well below the rear peep ring which kind of defeats the purpose of the HK style ring in ring sight picture. Front sight was noticeably shorter than the matching rear peep sight when placed next to each other on the rail. Sent them to Troy Industries for manufacturer's warranty since I was beyond the 30 day return period and Troy treated me like I was stupid, offered no advise or alternatives, and sent them back to me, but admitted the detent rod was incorrect causing difficult adjustment and corrected it. For this price, these sights should have offered the flawless performance Troy claims, but that was not the case. I wanted to like these sights but would not recommend them to anyone. Be warned.

Put them on and went to the range. Easy to adjust. Looks fantastic on my rifle. The installation was very simple to understand... love the the way they can be flipped up when need. Works great with my red dot
Pros:
- easy to install and adjust

Has a robust mechanical feel when flipping up. Target acquisition when looking through this sight is excellent. Great for older shooters whose eyesight is not as good as it used to be. Takes up minimum space on the pic rail when folded. I like that they copied the HK style as it is a very successful design. Heck, they even copied the hefty HK price tag too. This is a great sight for those like me who intend to use iron sights on a regular basis. I would recommend getting the matching rear sight as I made the mistake of buying a cheap rear sight and ended up reducing the effectiveness of this wonderful front sight. Definitely worth the money.
Best Used for:
- Shooters who actually intend to use iron sights on a regular basis.

Excellent construction, very sturdy, HK style front sight is awesome. However. It is not spring loaded. It takes two hands to activate. One hand depresses the release button, which extremely stiff, and you need another hand to physically raise the sight. In addition the tritium part of the sight is small and wimpy. I expected much more for the price.
