Most Helpful Positive Review Outstanding iron sights!
I've been using Troy backup iron sights for 2 years now and love them. Once you put them up they lock in place and will stay there until you hold in the button on the side and push them back down. The HK style shroud around the front sight post makes aligning the sights much easier, in my opinion. T...

Most Helpful Negative Review Just buy the regular ones
The tritium on these is weak. I put these on and waited til midnight pitch black and they barely glowed, I could barely see them. Just buy the non-trit. ones and save yourself some money. These things are basically the regular sights just marked up for profit.

Troy tritium top mounted Deplorable front and rear sights.

by Raymond Basurto, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on July 28, 2025
I would not recommend these sights to anyone. After unpacking and mounting the sights to my LWRC M6IC i found that the front to back (Slack) that was inherit to this sight was not conducive to repeatable accuracy.
I own other Troy sights that are mounted to other rifles and none of them have this type of sloppy movement front to rear that these sights have. I would not purchase the matching micro sights set again.
Very disappointed with the quality.

Typical Troy BUIS with a catch

by Robert, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on November 22, 2024
Catch is the Tritium is indeed a little "under powered" in comparison to a few other brands I have experience with. The Troy BUIS themselves are just as good as the non-tritium ones, some of the best in the industry. If you are running your eye close to the rear site expect the rear Tritium to be fuzzy close in. Setting the rear all the way back to maximize accuracy between the front and rear may leave something to be desired utilizing the rear Tritium. Rifles with a longer butt-stock will benefit from these. Keep in mind the small hole on the rear does not have Tritium like the larger. Would be a waste if it was anyway but it is worth noting.

I would recommend them overall.
Pros:
  • Quality
  • reliability
  • Night use
Cons:
  • price
  • Lackluster brightness
Best Used for:
  • ar 15

Bad experience

by Jesse, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 16, 2024
Love everything about the sights except the fact that I had to adjust my rear sight all the way to the left. I know there are going to be defects by the other comments not many

Misrepresented Item

by Zo, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on July 26, 2024
Advertisement implies full battlesight HK sights. In fact,[the order code in small print] does not correspond to full-size item, but Micro- version, which sits lower on picatinny & does Not co- witness with Red-Dot.False advertising & deceptive pricing,as Micro costs $100 less.

  • ZERO

Sweet. This is my second set.

by Mike C., Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 25, 2024
These sights are sweet. Heavy duty sold aluminum. The tritium dots arent very large and over bearing, but just the right amount to see in the dark. Would love to get these for all my ARs, but they are a bit pricey.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
Cons:
  • Pricey $$$
Best Used for:
  • any dark situation

DO NOT buy for the tritium

by Bdill, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on August 1, 2023
I like the sights but they are not what you’d expect for $250-$300 iron sights… The most disappointing is the tritium is EXTREMELY weak. I took it into an interior closet with the lights off and it’s visible but under even minimal light they get completely washed out. My second issue is they are not spring loaded which I knew but raising each sight is definitely a two handed job. The last major issue I have with these is when they are locked vertically, there is about 3mm of play where they can jiggle front and back. If you’re looking for buis I cannot NOT recommend these… If you want tritium, this is not the one. If you want metal, just get the standard Troy ones but even then the magpul metal ones are better. I have spent lotssss of money on gun stuff and have just kept it even if I didn’t like it. This is seriously the first thing I’m considering returning just because the price is such an incredible rip off for almost unusable sights. I wouldn’t only buy these if you can find them for less than $50.
Pros:
  • Weighty feel of quality. NOT toy stuff.
Cons:
  • sloppy / loose
  • Too expensive for the features
  • Tritium glow is weak
Best Used for:
  • return credit

Top quality iron sights

by J556, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 18, 2022
Great iron sights! The tritium is very bright and visible in both day & night settings. They are heavier than most others as they are actually made of metal and not plastic but not so heavy they would be a concern

Excellent!

by Griff, from TX, United States Written on October 8, 2021
I put these on a LaRue OBR762 that has a canted rail and they line up perfect! The tritium works great in low-light. I can’t wait to try them out hog hunting. These are great for back up iron sights or full time iron sights.
Pros:
  • Round front sight makes sight alignment faster and easier.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Back-up irons, full-time irons, low-light engagements
